I wonder if he’s covering Haiti in Prada...seems to be his clothing line of choice during epic disasters. Pretty sure his uber-expensive shoes didn’t survive Katrina.

That Gen. Honoray (sp?) responded well to Cooper’s question on “so what do you think of the help and supplies taking so long to get here”. The Gen. responded that they are getting there as soon as they can. But of course it is too little and too late. That is why these are called disasters.

I also like the Gen. disgust at seeing the empty medical tents (except for Sanjay Gupta) because all of the other Doctors left because of security concerns. “Their priority needs to be rescue and aid. Security won’t be the best, but that is not the priority. I hope that by tomorrow noon the 82nd will have turned that entire park into a medical aid unit. NATO is obviously not up to the task.” (The NATO part is not a quote, but was the gist of it). The empty medical tents IS perhaps stupid.

what a child... it’s like a toddler who bumps into a table and says, “dumb table!” come on—at least say, “Damn Death!”

Sanchez is all atwitter because all the victims are not being given a proper burial. He seems oblivious to the danger of dead bodies lining the streets in a tropical climate.

obviously he has never studied the Middle Ages and the black death of Europe...

I saw a photo today - 6 rescuers on rubble and over 100 haitians just standing in a loose crowd just watching. just watching.
