I agree.Their non related facebook postings are a bore. Just my opinion.
I agree. Loyalty is a good thing in the long run. McCain selected Palin and put her on the national stage. In pure political terms she can’t turn on him and come out looking good (Et tu, Bruté?).
Read the third article down on the blog.
Yes. Of course she supports the man who put her on the national (world-wide?) stage. Sarah’s statement (from Beck radio):
I am. I’m supporting [McCain]. I keep my word. John McCain is on fire to kill Obama’s government takeover of healthcare and that’s what I want to see. And his commitment and his leadership on national security to win the war on terror, that’s what we need. And I’m going to support him. And he is a statesman, and I don’t hesitate at all to say, no, we do need his leadership, especially on those two fronts: Government takeover of healthcare, he wants to kill it; national security, he gets it. He understands how to win.
Just listen to her words. She always talks straight.
It needs to be posted in its entirety.
Chris Matthews was on TV tonight making a jackass of himself as usual. (I was channel surfing.)
He was going on and on about John Edwards’ recent disclosures, of which Matthews apparently disapproves. Matthews did his best to connect Sarah Palin to Edwards—(yes—talk about contortionism!)—suggesting that neither Edwards nor Palin reads books. He also took a swipe at Palin’s husband—said something to the effect that he’s not in Mensa or is or should be or some such nonsense—suggesting that the Palens are unintelligent.
And this from a man whose idea of greatness is John Kennedy—whose idea of Presidential qualification is feeling a thrill go up his leg—a man who suggests that other people are unintelligent?
I’m not a big McCain fan, but I listened to Sarah’s explanation of why she’s campaigning for him, and it makes sense. It’s the healthcare takeover, and he’s fighting against that, and it’s the war on terror, and yes I think he has the more realistic approach than Obama does.
OK, fine. Good enough. Those are pretty good reasons.
Thank you, Josh!
Excellent point on hypocrisy.
People have to understand one very important thing. if Sarah had been elected Vice President, she would have had to support McCain’s Administration, support his policies and ideologies. That’s what Vice President’s do, so if people have an issue with what she is doing now, they must have had an issue with her running with McCain. I am NO McCain fan, believe me I want to see his behind gone in 2010, but I understand why she’s doing it. Just look what happened when she supposedly erased his name from a Visor, the same people here who are trashing her now said back then “Oh how can she do that to McCain, how can she diss him like that” so yeah, she was between a rock and a hard place here
Or... as my Dad always told me: “You dance with the one that brung ya.”
Thank you, Josh!
Amen!
What I can’t understand is that we knew this was coming months ago. If anyone reads Going Rogue they would know that Palin really does respect McCain for his military service, even if she does not agree with him on every political issue.
Excellent post, BTW.
Thank you! Political correctness on the right is as bad as when it comes from the left. And demanding that everyone has to have the very same views as themselves is political correctness.
While I am at it, I despise the term RINO, if one belongs to the Republican Party, they are a Republican. To defeat and replace a moderate/liberal Republican politician is one thing, to demand they leave the party is another. We need every available body, every available vote.
I don't always agree with Mc Cain, but he certainly does know how to pick a couple of winners.
Brown and Palin are both good independent thinking people.
Their families have a lot in common and I couldn't help but chuckle today when it was noted that AIla would like to meet an ex governor who was a bit of a rogue. AND then I thought mmmm after her father's comment, there is a eligible son available there too.
I suppose if she polled under 1% they would support her. Maybe that's their plan........
Thanks for the post.
I think mccain was not being brilliant.
McCain was just trying to help the party recruit a sacrificial lamb to run a certain to lose to democrat seat.
McCain did not know he was getting a conservative with palin (he wanted lieberman)
we have no reason to think otherwise here.
McCain is political slime and needs to retire.
1. Juan mccain is back to pushing for amnesty & a "NEW" health care bill.
2. Lindsey "Lightshoes Lohan" Gramnesty has returned to pushing cap & tax.
What in the wide world of sports is sarah giving credibility to these turncoat RINOs - esp since the MA election revolution?
