Anyone with an adolescent sister in the mid 60s would be all to familiar with this bloke. Notice the rag stuffed in the mandolin, it's what gave it the distinctive sound, and how about that suit Peter Noone is wearing, classic

And for all you screamin middle aged teeny boppers out there.....he was 17.

I love British Invasion music. I just downloaded a ton from the internet.

My current fav list:
Bus Stop - The Hollies
Bad to Me - Billy Kramer
Ferry Cross the Mersey - Gerry and the Pacemakers
Georgy Girl - The Seekers
I Only Want to Be with You - Dusty Springfield
Nobody I Know- Peter and Gorden
Silence is Golden - The Tremeloes
She’s Not There - The Zombies
Lady Godiva - Peter and Gorden
Needles and Pins - The Searchers
I Can’t Let Go - The Hollies
A Summer Song - Chad and Jeremy
A World Without Love - Peter and Gordon
You Got Your Troubles - The Fortunes
I’m Into Something Good - Herman’s Hermits

And of course, anything on the first few albums of the Beatles. Shame they were such a horrid influence on the culture.

I really have no idea. I’m trying to think what it sounds like, you can often figure out who writes something.

For instance, it’s obvious the beatles wrote “A World Without Love” and when I heard paul simon wrote “Red Rubber Ball”, I was like, I knew it.

It’s always fun to see a songwriter come out and record an album, and then realize how many songs they have written that have been made hits by others. Carol King, John Denver, and Willie Nelson come to mind.

OK, I couldn’t stand it, I had to look, but I’ll leave it up unanswered for someone else to guess. And I never would have guessed it.

I had heard who wrote it years ago but without knowing it would be practically impossible to have guessed.

Well...I googled it. I would have never guessed who it was and I lived through that music age. Still enjoy it.
