Yeah. The whole government sting thing sucks.

I understand it is useful in certain circumstances to get criminals off the street when it might be very difficult to catch them otherwise, but this is ridiculous. In some foreign countries, bribes are a part of everyday business activities.

In the 1980’s I delivered a LARGE bribe to some Greek Generals ,, a consultancy fee ,, for their help in deciding to buy computer equipment for an inventory and maintenance system.. got a signature and delivered the receipt to our accountants ,, wrote it off as a normal cost of business in that country.

I have a friend who's brother was just elected mayor in a medium-sized city in Thailand. It's understood by all that the mayor will skim 20-30% of any Government contracts placed; it's actually the way the mayor "earns" their income!
