On public transit I see people put their (shod) feet on the seats, despite written warnings from the transit authority that such activity is forbidden. I see the same thing going on in movie theaters. Patrons who behave in such a way are treating the furniture as if it’s their own living room couch—no, worse than that.
BO’s behavior is no better than that of the people I have described.
I remember the photos of him at the “beer summit” with the MA police officer. His body language was completely undignified. Even Biden looked better by comparison.

Oh please....Bush had his feet up in the Oval Office all the time...the media office just never allowed the photos to be released. I took a tour of the Bush WH and saw the photos on the wall.

Before I saw the pictures I was like “who cares about some photos of Barack”.
After I saw the pictures, I am offended. My children would never throw a football in our house. When I see their feet on the furniture, I slap the leg OFF. Yes, a cheap shot which I should have resisted. There are lots of things FDR can be faulted for which harmed the country, but his overcoming of his disability to the point where he could be a governor and a President was admirable. Unlike some other children of privilege he really did have to overcome hardship.
Feet on the furniture! I don’t have a problem with them eating cake in an office, but the vulgarity of the feet on the furniture. Really. Not a gentleman.
I agree with the other posters that one is expected to act respectful (no feet on the furniture, playing ball) in another person’s house.
That isn’t his house, and he should treat it respectfully.
