As the Tennessee General Assembly debates education as a whole, it should be noted that offering in-state tuition is an unfair, unjust and incredulous smack in the face to the thousands of Tennessee college students who are American citizens and who are facing dropping out of college because of the tough economic times and the expense of rising college costs.

Furthermore, the Assembly and Governor debate on the viability of transfer credits from a community college to a four-year Tennessee university for these same students so that their degree attainment is quicker and without delay.

How might this relate to the Democrats’ “Universal Voter Registration” aims?

Bottom line is that every undocumented alien that is enrolled at the University is taking the spot from a citizen of the United States of America.

I don’t get this push to give illegal aliens in-state tuition. I mean, does it save states money? Is this in any way, shape, matter or form economically sound? What possible benefit does the state derive by disobeying the law and offering in-state tuition to people who are not supposed to be in this country anyway?

This policy must be from liberals because I can’t make any sense of this. More good intentions and phony compassion that will benefit almost no one. But, by golly, it’s just sounds like the right thing to do. Yeah, just like welfare!
