Its on Oregon voters fire first shots at the rich, The rich are trenched in and planning a stunning blow to the hungry,homeless,lifetime welfare class. Many of the rich are warm and comfortable in there homes and offices, they plan on getting signatures to bring the fatal blow in the conflict. The weapon of legislation by way of proxy. The money is coming in and soon the ballet box will be stuffed with ballots on them a law stopping all funding of welfare funding. Welfare troops are having a hard time focusing due to not having a leader to tell them how to survive the possibility of losing the moneys from the rich. They keep begging the state legislator to help but they have now sided with rich troops as there only chance of surviving the next primaries. The poor troops are looking south towards California for new lands to migrate, and plunder a new battle against the riches left in the golden state. A lesson to be learned here is you should not turn on your neighbors for the comfort of the goverment. Your goverment does not care about you but your neighbors do or did.
Well I know for sure that I want the "rich" to feel comfortable enough about this economy to invest their wealth in growing - or starting - a company.
Without the "rich" providing the opportunity for jobs, the poor are left to subsistence farming in order to survive...
Why should anyone be forced by government to help anyone else?
The best help the poor can get is for government to quit taxing those who are in the best position to help the poor.
How about posting a newspaper article that explains what you are talking about? Because none of us can figure it out. You’re statement sounds like it was written about 1920’s Russia. I’ve visited Oregon several times and if there is a war going on I didn’t notice. Y’all need a revolution to get rid of that silly law forbidding self service gas stations if you ask me.
I hope you can learn that “the poor” in the US are free to move themselves up if they are here legally. Beggars who have invaded from the third world need to go back where their vision and understanding of life actually fits life.
America has safety nets for AMERICANS temporarily down on their luck. Welfare is not a hammock for lay abouts. In addition, Americans are the most generous people on earth in giving their money away to help others.
We have been through bad economic times before and come out of it. That will happen again. No need to use the economy as an excuse to construct a socialist stink hole in America. I kind of like your idea of the middle and upper classes being given the chance to end or limit welfare with a vote! If the socialists can organize to steal for a minority, the majority should be able to organize to take their freedom, money and property back. It is not to your advantage to play class warfare in America.
Is the OP referring to the recent vote in Oregon for ballot measures 66 and 67 increasing taxes on businesses and the wealthy? And if so, I cannot understand what position the OP is taking.

Oh, okay. So in other words the rich in Oregon are finally taking some action, like a Boston Tea Party, instead of allowing the government to take their money from them and give it to the poor? If the government allowed charities to take over instead of doing it through taxes, the poor would be able to eventually work for themselves and get off welfare all together....
Who do you get a job from, the man who has nothing, or the man that owns a business?...

Charitable organizations will help, but not just give. The “poor” need to help themselves. Yes, there are true poor and handicapped that need a social net, but there are poor who do that by choice. They need to make the effort to drag themselves out of it and it should not be done by taxing the rich or the middle class to support them.
