f 2010 proves to be a “wave” election for the GOP, conservatives can expect more than a few half-as-much Republicans to sweep into Congress. What’s a half-as-much Republican? One who’s willing to do half as much as liberals on big government initiatives. Guys like John McCain and his sidekick, Lindsey Graham, for instance. Or Maine’s Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe. Or departing Senator George Voinovich.

But there’s an effective way to put half-as-much Republicans on notice:

I agree that Conservatives In Name Only (CINOs) are the real threat as they`re the fifth column in our midst, but I`m still asking WHY in god`s name did someone like Sarah Palin ditch her presumably conservative principles in favor of endorsing a “friend” like John McLame? Can`t we trust anyone?

McCain and the other “conservatives in name only” seem to have a scam going on. They seem to pick a couple of solid conservative issues that they know will give them conservative “street cred” so they can get votes and support from some key supporters such as the gun rights people or prolife people. Then they go off the reservation with all kinds of crazy liberal ideas. I don't think these positions are based on deeply held beliefs, I think that there is some kind of political triangulation going on. Could it be that when they go off the conservative reservation it is so they can reach across the aisle and make political deals with the democrats? Could it be that McCain and the rest of the rinos are doing what Kristen Guillibrand and many of the other blue dog democrats did? Maybe McCain and rinos are just pretending to have conservative beliefs out of political necessity not real conviction.

I am sick of schizoid politicians who are half democrat and half republicans. If they have split personalities they belong in a psych ward not congress.
