Mexican organized crime violence continues to spill over the border into the United States. Last Friday night the dead and bound body of Gilberto Rosales Aguilar was discovered in the middle of a rural road near Alton, TX as reported by Jared Taylor for The Monitor:
Aguilar was wearing only dark-colored jeans when the officer found his body. He appeared to have been shot at least once in the upper torso with a large-caliber handgun. Investigators identified Aguilar after comparing his fingerprints with a U.S. Customs and Border Protection database. Aguilar had been arrested and convicted for human trafficking and served 16 months in a federal prison before he was deported. * * * Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Treviño has said he believes Aguilar may have been kidnapped, bound and killed by members of a criminal organization. "We don't know if this is a drug-related case, and we don't know if it's a human smuggling case," Treviño said Saturday. "But it has all the earmarks of an organized crime execution."
