Video: Condoleezza Rice answering questions from the press before a speech to at Oklahoma State University at the William S. Spears School of Business, Tulsa. Thursday, February 4, 2010. She talks about the challenges we face: focusing on essentials, defending the country, global financial and economic crisis, promoting democracy, leading on the basis of values and principles, addressed as an optimistic people. "We lead on the basis of our values (not the U.N.'s)"! I for one, miss her!

I would expect the President to call the Sec. of State into the office and make it abundantly clear what's expected of him or her when it comes to trumpeting the goodness of America around the globe. Rub their noses in it. Those who know us and love us will enjoy the show of bravado. Those on the other side will complain, but it will drive ‘em nuts.

What do you think the reaction would be today if Obama or one of his advisors was threatened like this? She has been put in impossible positions and showed remarkable strength, resolve and even-tempered character. I'm still a Condi fan even though it seems she is attacked more from the right than the left today. JMHO.

Rice spoke from the position of “race”....no one can deny that electing a black person to the highest office in our land was not a landmark...because it was. Any black person would be proud regardless if they were for or against Bo. And though we all know it was the wrong black person the idea is a ceiling had been shattered. For that we were all proud...and that is what Rice is addressing, that our country had come far.
Even so, BO has been terrible as a President and it was a serious mistake voting for a man so far to the left. We all know this...and so does Condi.
