On February 9th, 2010, I received the following email from "Northeast Elizabeth":
On your site's "Education" page, you post a photograph identified as "Barry, 3rd Grade, 1969" which is identical to this one appearing in the Honolulu Star Bulletin in December, 2009 (in an article revealing that Obama spent at least part of third grade in Hawaii and not solely Jakarta as widely reported). Did you add it to your site after that date, or was it there before? I ask because in the article, Obama's former classmate Scott Inoue indicates that he didn't receive the photo back from Obama until November 2009, and I had assumed that Star's publication of the picture the next month would have been the first appearance of it. However, the page on your site on which it appears indicates copyright, Beckwith, 2008" at the bottom so I wasn't sure if it was from back then (and if so, how you would have it if it were a private picture of Inoue's, unless Inoue got it elsewhere and was playing a trick).

Unfortunately, I have no memory of when I added that photo. However, I checked the properties on that image and it was created on Sunday, October 18, 2009 -- so it was clearly before. So, I had it before it was returned to Inoue in November, 2009.
However, it's clear I acquired the photo without the back story, prompting me to archive the photo as an Indonesian-Besuki-period artifact.
Somehow, I missed the Star Bulletin report. This was the first I'd heard of Obama being in the 3rd grade -- and in Hawaii? He was supposed to be in Indonesia -- the report contradicts Obama's own autobiography, as well as multiple biographies, that say he attended grades 1 through 5 in Jakarta, Indonesia. From the report:
A former Manoa resident sent President Barack Obama an old photo of the two of them taken while they were third-grade classmates at Noelani Elementary School, requesting an autograph more than six months ago. He recently received the autographed picture back, as well as a personally signed thank-you note.
Widely published biographies say Obama lived in Indonesia from 1967 through 1971, and none mention his third-grade year at Noelani, Inoue acknowledges. But he said Obama attended at least part of his third-grade year at Noelani in 1969, perhaps during a visit back to Hawaii, and moved away.
When Obama decided to run for president, Inoue had his mother dig up the photo and sent an enlarged copy to Obama's senatorial office in Illinois with a request for his autograph. There was no response. He tried again after the inauguration, and several months later an envelope from the White House arrived.
He was surprised by the warm note -- typewritten, but personally signed by Obama -- that accompanied the photo. Dated Nov. 6, 2009, the note said:
"Dear Scott:
"This is just a quick note to thank you for your kind letter. It is good to hear from you. ... I am pleased to enclose your signed photograph. Thank you again for your thoughtful note, and I wish you all the best.
"Sincerely, Barack Obama"
That note reads like general-purpose package for White House correspondents that comes out of Obama's 14-million member database -- a boilerplate note, and a photo of Obama.
There's a second report on Record.net that contains an image of the letter, and this cryptic comment -- "His family moved to Indonesia sometime during the school year" -- his biography, and all those autobiographies disagree -- the Soetoros moved two years previously -- Maya Soetoro-Ng, Obama's half-sister places Obama and family in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 1967 through 1972.
And, this is not a personal note -- look at it -- it's your basic graphics-printer (Obots are skilled at that) -- there is no personal comment or allusion to the 3rd grade photo, so I don't read that response from "Sincerely, Barack Obama" as an acknowledgement, by Obama, that he attended 3rd grade at Noelani in 1969 -- it's like all the other questions -- ignored!
I also assume his 3rd grade records have been lost like his kindergarten records? Now I'll have to update my list of lost and missing Obama records, and send an email to Hiwaii Department of Education to see if they have records of this.
This is bizarre -- I did a Google "Books" search of "Dreams...," and there is no mention of Noelani.
I'm tellin' you -- nobody knows anything about this guy -- every day it's a new mystery. I've said it before, the more I learn about this guy, the less I know about him.
We need to hold Barry’s feet tot he fire over the financial aid he grafted out of the federal government pretending to be from Indonesia instead of Kenya. He did this as a legal age adult 18years+. Whining about his BC will be seen like you are trying to punish precious little baby obama for the stupidity of his idiot parents. Not going to get sympathy. If you point out that the first thing he did as an adult was to commit outright fraud against the coffers of the US education system, then you setup a case for the pattern of destruction that follows him during his adult life.
If you whine about where he was born you setup yourself for a PR nightmare.
Get a good solid thump against him that will resonate by using his college records against him, THEN use the BC as the final blow.
Also before the BC thing can be fully realized as a tool, evidence of his associates covering up for him must be found and presented, HARD evidence! Photos, Legal Documents, Forms, etc....
Really how much could a well funded Private Investigator pull up on him and his associates just by searching through pile after pile of public records? I’ll imagine quite a bit.
His mother was a hippy dippy flake and probably dragged him out of school on a whim for a long visit home. Grandma, I suppose, had the good sense to get him into the local elementary school for the duration of his stay.

Right now, I would just be satisfied with Obama coming out and announcing to all the world the name of his 1961 birth doctor so that the good doctor and his family can rightfully enjoy all the public glory and public rewards that a doctor who delivered a president of the united States should receive.

If Obama, according to the statement above, left Indonesia and returned to Hawaii for part of his third grade and then went back to Indonesia, I would be interested to learn how he was able to enter the United States from Indonesia.
That is, did he use an Indonesian or United States passport to go back and forth from Indonesia to the United States?
Whoever he was, he's somewhere between 80 and 120 years old by now...

You know, I was thinking last night that we are ten months out from the November elections and there must be some elective position somewhere in this country that would allow the office winner access to Obama’s birth certificate.
County clerk? Secretary of State? Local board? Whatever. There must be some local official that could access his records legally somewhere.
1) Establish which elected officials/offices across the country that would have a reason and a legal right to access Obama’s birth certificate if they so choose.
2)If someone out there has the desire, interest and skills necessary for the particular elective office and they want proof Obama is actually eligible they enter the race.

As I recall, president john kennedy is dead, but that doesn't seem to stop people from continuing to make movies of his life or write books about his life up to this day.
Imagine this: In the near future, someone decides to make a movie of Obama's life.
In one part of the movie, they show Obama born at Kapiolani hospital.
Could you please explain how the producers of the movie can show the scenes when Obama is born on August 4, 1961 without showing the doctor and giving his name, if they want to be historically accurate as possible?
The Obama's birth doctor may or may not be dead, but his name and his relatives and some of his friends are still alive, and the doctor's relatives and friends should enjoy the financial rewards and public praise that Obama's birth doctor would receive if he were alive today.

Hard to say. There has been a considerable amount of data scrubbing happening, not just by PIs but by government lackeys intimately familiar with all the tricks of the trade for disappearing information.
I've watched as google "disappeared" half a million image hits on "obama birth certificate". Any number of FReepers have seen identical document URLs abruptly return different images with suspicious alterations on key points.
The internet is the ultimate Memory Hole. Worse than even Orwell envisioned, the document doesn't even disappear leaving a suspicious hole. It magically becomes the document Big Bro' needs it to be this week.
One person involved in the passport peeking scandal, Lieutenant Quarles Harris Jr., was murdered. That got abundant press coverage, didn't it?
Somebody somewhere has actual paper and film documentation, what would happen to it?
One historical model is Howard Hughes: For years and years, Hughes Aircraft had a policy that any photo including Howard was to be turned in to the corporate library "for the historical archive".
Every employee dutifully turned in any photos they found cleaning out desks and old filing cabinets, warm and secure in the knowledge that they were doing their bit -no matter how small- to help preserve the history of this great man.
Any image the library received was promptly destroyed.

The woman, Miki Booth, originally from Hawaii, is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Oklahoma’s second district as an independent constitutional conservative. She had presented original long-form birth certificates belonging to her son and husband, dated 1981 and 1949.
