I think you pick your battles and this is not one of them. If they’re fornicating for Valentine’s Day chances are they’re doing it on any other day as well. Nothing to do with Saint Valentine’s Day.

But I’m sure there will be some obscene prices paid for gifts.

I’ll add something here. You are attacking eros as an ultimately misleading and sinful way to approach relationships, with an emphasis on the lust. I think that the whole “romantic” ideal is ultimately a false one — whether satisfying lust outside of marriage is involved or not. I think the idea that marriage requires an ongoing Disney princess type love makes a lot of women very unhappy in their marriages when otherwise the husband is faithful, employed, loving and doing thier part. I’ve seen almost exactly that break up 2 marriages (a married man and a married woman cheating with each other and falling in love . . . both cheaters had spouses that from the outside looked like they were doing what they should in a marriage but the woman wanted the passion and thought that was what was required for a good marriage).

On Valentine’s Day multitudes will engage in the self-pleasing, licentious and immoral acts of fornication that are outside of the timeless, God-ordained and holy institution of marriage.

Really? Are there photographs?
