Anyone Using Cox High Speed Internet in Phoenix area?

Posted on 02/18/2010 4:11:05 AM PST by hsmomx3

It is taking several minutes for pages to appear and Yahoo, I cannot access at all.

Anyone experiencing very slow internet service in the Phoenix area?

They claim to have worked on the network overnight but whatever they did, made it worse. Dial up is better than this!

Try trashing your browser’s cache. Maybe shut down and restart. See if that helps.

I just woke up here in Tempe. I’ll keep you posted on performance, but so far things seem to be normal (streaming audio and video performing as expected).

“Cox Communications will perform network maintenance during the periods of midnight to 6 a.m. on February 16th.”

I’ve been unsatisfied with performance the last few days but I wasn’t certain that the Cox network was to blame considering that I have the most “economical” high-speed plan.

Good morning. No problems whatsoever. Humming along with good performance...I’m North of 101.

Just a suggestion but you might consider upgrading from the old Commodore 64 you got at the garage sale a few years back.

:)

I live in about the same area as you and was told that Cox knows there are problems in this area. FR is about the only site I can get on to but it takes awhile to fully load. Yahoo, and other sites, forget it. I cannot even get my email as the system is so slow.

The last time Cox messed around in our area, it took almost one week before things were back to normal.
