Beck is a commentator and has done this nation a tremendous service, especially in the past 12 months. Media figures are not movement leaders. His role is to attract an audience and he has chosen to do that by researching the heck out whast is going in with Washginton and the economic course we are on.

I do not listen or watch Beck all the time, but I tune in on a somewhat regular basis, and it is rare to hear someone on TV or radio who reflects the thinking of so many in the nation. He is essentially one of our time’s best investigative reporters, seeking out the facts behind the story normally put out by politicians and media.

He didn’t ask to lead a movement. Not sure why you have placed him in that role.

Beck can be interesting to listen to, but he often wears his Libertarianism on his sleeve. When he had Palin on he did everything he could to get her to say she would be willing to run as a third party candidate. He puts a picture of George Bush up with other pictures of Progressives we should be worried about. He really really hates Bush. And when it comes to comparing Democrats to Republicans he goes down the Michale Savage path and says they are all the same.

I do often listen to his opening monologue to see where he is going to take the show, and often I am drawn in, but when I see he is about to “jump the shark” I find my remote.

I used to love his radio show. I watched the TV show for awhile but just can’t anymore. I do wonder if he is drinking, its just getting to creepy for me.

Beck is just one of the many Pied Pipers of the MSM.

One must fully understand the reasoning why people believe they must have leadership.

How would history have changed if the mice wore earplugs and started laughing at the buffoon playing his song?

You are a perfect example of what Beck has done. You give glorified overtures to a man who doesn’t want to have the responsibility that goes along with leadership.

Third party... No better way to keep 0bama in power.

Threat of a viable third party candidate...no better way to whip the GOP back into conservative thinking and behavior.

Having watched a few of Glen Beck’s dramatic presentations on the deficit, the Constitution etc., he inspired me to do some research and make comparisons. He is a rabble rouser and a muck raker in the best Jack Anderson tradition - with a bit more schmaltz.

Tonight as I watched, I had an Elmer Gantry moment when Beck lumped in the *birthers* with the *truthers* followed by a *Face in the Crowd* moment.

I changed channels. Glen is doing some good work - and getting paid for it. There are many thousands of other good people of conscience doing great work, and doing their duty for free..... and freedom.

I couldn’t disagree more. Unlike a lot of them who just point out what’s wrong and right, he’s one of the few that actually calls people to action. Also, he’s the most independent out there; he’s by far not a GOP or DNC kool-aid drinker. Further, he was called nuts years ago when he was forecasting the economic mess we are in today, yet he was right on the money (no pun intended).
