Methinks the author protests too much.
The Republican party needs to be nervous for awhile. Kind of like our government needs to fear us as opposed to the other way around. Both seem to work a hell of a lot better when they are fearful - makes them respect their real bosses a little more. Keeps them more focused on the right thing to do, when they feel that way and we’re watching them closely.
The GOP needs to be perpetually nervous.
