This kid is deep in the closet, people.
My colleague Nate Gunderson caught me as I was nearly out the door. I was walking back from the bloggers lounge with a friend in the Virginia newspaper business, and Nate tapped my shoulder to tell me that Ryan Sorba, the kid who embarrassed himself in front of the world by denouncing GOProud to a round of boos, was standing twenty feet away from me. He had a few people near him, probably curious about who he was and what he stood for.
After deliberating for a few seconds, I decided to let Adam Brickley and a couple of guys from The Lobbyist walk to Murphys, where the FrumForum party was being held, by themselves. I couldnt pass up the opportunity to meet this guy.

Who cares ?
“Has anyone heard of this blog? I’m not familiar with it. “
Nope, since generally we don’t read fag blogs around here.
Good grief. Anyone, like Sorba, who responds to abuse by GOProud is to be accused of being a homosexual? Is that the highest insult this author can make?
That is really sad.
I know the guy who posted it is gay. Is it a gay blog? I really didn't check it out.
I guess he doesn’t think much of himself.
Ryan Sorba is a hero. Identity politics crap like gay Activism is not conservative. GoProud is just another arm of the log cabin republicans who march right alongside the other gay radicals stripped to their underwear making lewd and vulgar jesters while little kids in Red wagons are pulled along for show. A true gay conservative wood never bring up the fact he or she is gay In a political sense because they would never want to be labeled by how they conduct their private lives.
Projection of course. David Frum, GOProud, Romney. I’ll never pay attention to CPAC again if this is how it is now.
This “blogger” confers with FrumForumParty? Super RINO Frum? That alone says it all.
Also he just opened himself up to a libel suit by posting that.
Agreed. I’m disgusted by much of it.
I could care less about what you do in private, just don't ask me to pay tax money to treat your STD's. But I wish you would realize how annoying your politically correct “I am a victim because I have sex with other men” attitude is. Please, just do what you want in private and then shut up about it.
I could see that happening, although it is unlikely.
Are you talking to me or the author? I’m quite straight, as my wife can attest to. :)
“Ryan Sorba is a hero. “
We need to start a “ I Support Ryan Sorba” group around here - and let him know about it!
We could even tun his name into a verb - to “Sorba-rize” ... it means to his a fag square between the eyes with an argument so logical that all they can do is revert to infantile screaming.
Alex Knepper is a catty queen who is in the closet.
I think that is much more likely than his accusations against Sorba.
Sounds like just the type to be a member of “GO~fudgePAC”.
From what I can tell after googling him, he’s not in the closet.
In the closet? You think Alex Knepper is ... secretly straight?
Anyone with moral or intellectual objections to homosexuality is ordinarily accused of being a homosexual and almost always by homosexuals themselves.
I guess this means those throwing the accusations around realize there isn't a bigger insult than accusing someone of being a homosexual.
Sounds like Alex Knepper is trying to “out-Perez Hilton” Perez Hilton.
Why do the homosexuals need a special group at the GOP? Why can’t they promote strong fiscal spending and limited government like everyone else? They would benefit from that as much as everyone else.
The butt-poker who wrote the blog very liberally, pun intented, uses stock liberal words and phrases to confront Mr. Sorba.
When the butt-pokers stop trying to set up their cruising farm-team by trying to sexualize 5 year-olds in our schools, I might cut them some slack.
Did you read the article?
Yes, the most degrading insult homosexuals can think of to make toward their detractors is calling them homosexuals. Go figure.
Many Latin men have tendencies most northerners consider effeminate. Not that I dedicate much time to thinking about the topic, but I suspect aristocratic British homosexuals picked up some of these mannerisms when they went abroad to indulge their vices, and so this became a gay stereotype in the Anglo-American mind.
LOL some do!
And claim they don't know anything about them.

I caused a bit of a ruckus among the hosts of the lunch by airing my doubts about Governor Sarah Palins ability to lead
I am a gay Republican. I am not self-hating. I am not confused.
I am comfortable enough with my sexuality to think of myself in terms of traits other than simply my sexual orientation. I believe that my attraction to the same sex should have no bearing to my thoughts on tax policy, trade, foreign affairs or abortion. I believe that my sexuality is merely an incidental part of my life and should not be a major factor in my decision-making.
I am aware that there is a rich tradition of intellectualism, secularism and equality within the Republican Party outside of the Religious Right. I am aware that Hillary Clinton and Dick Cheney hold the same positions on gay rights. I am aware that Bill Clinton signed into law the last major anti-gay piece of legislation passed by Congress - the so-called Defense of Marriage Act. I am self-respecting enough to know that the words of the Democrats on gay rights are no substitute for their lack of action.
Thank you. :)
