Of course not....Powell on Face the Nation asked if he as regrets, Schieffer: "Now Barack Obama who came to Washington, promised to change things, not much has changed, Congress is in a total mess now, in total gridlock, his critics are having a field day. Any regrets about endorsing Barack Obama?"

Was it Cheney who said he thought he was a Democrat now ?
“Was it Cheney who said he thought he was a Democrat now ?”
Yes, and Powell’s gutless as well.
Little tip...you’re allowed 300 words for an excerpt.
A bit more meat on the bone helps the threads to be healthy.
Schieffer laid out the facts.......
The discouraging thing is that people like Powell make to the top in the military.
I’m beginning to wonder if Ubama isn’t a Republican mole.
Powell is a weenie.
Choosing race over integrity.
He belies his books.
What a massive disappointment.
Read the article and you will see there was not more meat on the bone. Had he posted more it would have been the whole thing.
Liar liar pants on fire
seems to me he’d be more like a pimple.
Yeah. On a gnat’s ass.
Isn’t powell on the board for the GOP?
From what I viewed in this vidieo Powell thinks we are too stupid to think for ourselves. God forbid we don’t regonize the genius of Dear Leader Obama. Powell can kiss my a@@.
Even if one can look beyond Obama’s left wing agenda, he’s lying through his teeth if he thought that Obama would bring a new civil tone to the White House and is not offended by Obama’s Chicago Rat Machine politics.
They all do it is not a frickin’ excuse.
What’s a Colin Powell?
Pay back for his Affirmative Action life.
Homey keepin it real with his peeps
Colin Powell made one of the more surprising and unexpected left turns in recent history.
Maybe it was just our general perception of the man, and the fact that he was a well-respected warrior who went on to be George Bush’s Secretary of State that made us feel that he was one of us.
His support of Obama is pretty inexplicable, in my opinion. I know that most have attributed that support to the fact that he’s a black man, but I suspect that the real reason isn’t that simple.
Whatever the reasons for his choice to support Obama, he made a terrible error in judgment. He’s hitched his wagon to a falling star.
Today, I wouldn't get up off the couch to walk into the next room to meet him.
Rush as well. His endorsement of The Nutty Professor only proves he was never a Republican.
Hmmppph! Must have a disconnect brain stem.
>>At one time I held CP in high regard.
Today, I wouldn’t get up off the couch to walk into the next room to meet him.<<
Sadly, I agree.
A turn coat in my opinion.
...........see that’s the genius of so-called racism- you’re dam*ed if you do and dam*ned if ya’ don’t
It's amazing to see the mind dead blind loyalty of many Obama supporters because of this fact.
Colin was only where he was because he is BLACK.
The media felt the need to create a black hero after Gulf War I.
Colin was against almost everything that proved successful in that war but yet he got hero status for it.
He stood before the UN and told the world there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. I believed him. Now, after many of our good men and women have died over there, he says he was wrong. He’s an azzclown if you ask me.
The media made him a hero because he is black. Sort of what they did for obama.
It isn't. It was race based and nothing else explains it.
Now that applies to more than I can list in this little space.
Colin was an affirmative action/Peter Principle champ from his days as a junior officer.
His Vietnam era military record (sic) is all you need to know about the man.
Wait a minute! I thought that was Donovan McNabb???????????????
>>Wait a minute! I thought that was Donovan McNabb???????????????<<
QB, General, it is all the same to the MSM...
I'll give you the point on that one, but it appears that he posted a snip from a blurb. Hard to even call it an article.
Nine times out of ten, when a poster shortchanges the visitors to a thread, the charge sticks.
Colon has always been a democrat but he’s for sale to the highest bidder!
Man, where have you been since the 2008 election?
In the old army Powell would be known as a “horse holder”, only fit to hold a real generals horse! Powell was created for a specific role but he isn’t acting now.
Your question, “Whats a Colin Powell?”
A Colon Bowel is a person who calls himself a Republican, while all his support and actions are far more like Democrats.......very often referred to as RINO.
According to many FReepers with high ranking military knowledge, his quick rise in the military was due to one fact: affirmative action. The same with his positions in the Bush administration: affirmative action.
I think it is one of those procedures my over 50 self has to have every couple of years...
That's just the easiest, most convenient explanation. This guy was Sec of State in a Republican administration during the thick of the WOT.
I'm sorry, but ascribing his support of Obama to race is just too pat an answer. I suspect there's more. This isn't some liberal simpleton like Harry Belafonte we're talking about here.
And, for him to appear on television at this late date, when the good ship Obama is sinking, and claim that he "has no regrets whatsoever", is more than a little bizarre.
Either the man is a first class moron who happens to speak well, or there's something much more sinister going on here.
I opt for the latter.
You are absolutely correct, sir.
An affirmative action general endorse the first affirmative action pResident.
Why would he? He voted for Obama because he is “black”, and Obama is still “black.”
Great! Then I have no qualms whatsoever about marking down Colin Powell in the “ignorant, worthless, racist POS” column.
Hey Newt do we still need a guy like Colin in our party? Let me know after you explain why you sat on a couch with mrs plastic for a marxist cause.
General Powell, sir. I hereby make an official request for the reimbursement of the money I spent when I purchased your autobiography. Thanking you in advance, I remain, sir, your most obedient humble servant, AX.
Meaning no disrespect it is just that simple. But that doesn't make it any less sinister.
