Green Revolution... the good kind

KOROR (Palau Horizon) – PRESIDENT Johnson Toribiong is starting a green revolution.

Toribiong told reporters that among the government’s project this year is on expanding the farming areas in Babeldaob.

He said the plan is to plant fruit-bearing trees at the entire Babeldaob.

Among the trees that will be planted in the Babeldaob area are coconuts, summer trees and mangoes.

The president said that through green revolution , food production locally will increase at the same time will mean employment for locals.

The leader wants to develop the agricultural industry by developing wide varieties of crops that could be used to feed the country.

The president said this revolution will be funded to enable the states to jumpstart the project.

Aquaculture is also part of the development with a planned hatchery in Airai.
