CA Parental Control Software Blocks FR as HATE site but allows DU site to go through

I just wanted to inform you that one of the computers I have at home has COMPUTER ASSOCIATES' SECURITY CENTER installed on it as part of the package I have with my recent Internet and cable service provider -- CABLEVISION.

This is the CA SECURITY CENTER VERSION 4.0.0.205

Now, everytime I try to access FR on this computer, it blocks me with the following reason :

I have to override it by entering an administrative password to temporarily allow the FR site to go through my browser.

Out of curiosity, I tried going to the DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND site and lo and behold, the CA Parental Control software ALLOWED the site with no problems.

Just wanted you people to be aware of this double standard.

There is also evidence that hasn’t been deleted and that has been provided the whatisthetruth with links to the comments. However, he has asked me to refrain from sending him the links. He asks for evidence but then asks that we stop sending it. So I am not sure if he actually wants evidence or if he just wants to keep pretending there is no evidence while demanding that someone provides it. Willfully ignorant at this point.

That sounds a bit like a Progressive Saul Alinsky tactic. Like asking everyone if they're from DU.

There you go again, define plenty. 1%? 5%? 25%? 50%? 75%? You conjure up a few examples and we're suppose to believe now that means there's plenty more where that came from? Regardless, the fact of the matter is profanity is not tolerated on FR and is not a hate site because of that.

Your posts try to imply that the hate site designation is justifiable because of what you claim are PLENTY of instances of profanity that FR posters post on FR. I merely called YOU on it that my experience says that is not the case. You and Metmom can nitpick, deflect, try to distract all you want, but I stand by what I said, a few examples of profanity does not make FR a profanity ridden hate site.

I NEVER said FR was a hate site. I don’t think FR is a hate site. I was not addressing my comment #8 to seekandfind who posted the article. I was posting my comment to chris_bdba who said you wont find curse words on FR. I was correcting this comment. I never got a chance to actually respond to the article because my character was attacked and I was busy defending it.

We haven’t nitpicked, deflected, or tried to distract. That is what YOU have been doing. I made a statement and I backed it up with EVIDENCE. I said there was profanity here and there is. I said I had seen numerous people post it and I have, most have since been deleted BECAUSE IT IS NOT TOLERATED HERE. There is no evidence to the fact that I have seen it numerous times, only the testimony of other who have seen it as well. The fact that you haven’t seen a curse word on FR is not proof that there hasn’t been (although you later admitted to seeing a few curse words). You need to take a logic course.

BTW, I don’t know how to give it a percentage. I have probably seen hundreds of posts with words which I consider profanity. It isn’t a huge percentage of the posts on FR but taken by itself 100 or so posts is plenty of posts.
