lmao! You wouldn’t want to smell these boots MM, they stink of manure. Sort of like the manure I’ve seen here.

The victim mentality amuses me. Since I never got to actually post on the original topic because I was busy defending myself against personal attacks, I am glad to get back to it.
I actually think that anyone who blocks FR as a hate site is biased beyond belief. That being said FR is not a site for children. The content of alot of the news is unfit for them to read unfiltered by a parent. There are articles on here of sexual affairs, child abuse, horrible murders etc. I do make my children aware of what is going on in the world. I get alot of that info from FR but I wouldn’t let them have unrestricted access to the site.

My daughter is allowed to read FR but only what I let her. She likes the saddle club stuff. But most of it is old. If there is something I think she can benefit from we usually read it together. She has read comments & knows some of the FReepers like MM & Salamander & of course TigersEye. She also knows some of the ones that she doesn’t like. When reading comments by them I get a mumbled figures from her. She knows she is not allowed to go to FR without me being near & knowing what she is reading..

Exactly. The site can be not appropriate for children because of content like that, even the occasional profanity, but still not be a hate site.

Yeah, well when it warms up around here, all you can smell is dairy farm. Nice *country fresh air*.
The really sad part is, it doesn’t bother me as much as it used to.
So, horse manure wouldn’t be an issue.
oops, is *manure* profanity? Oh noes.....

Yes there are alot of good resources on the internet for our kids, FR is one of them. It is our responsibility as parents to protect them from the content that we don’t want them to see. I just pinged the mods on a thread I was going to comment on but someone felt the need to put a picture of some nudist on the thread. I won’t comment now until the mods remove it.

I don't consider ALOT of sites on the internet suitable for children to use alone. Especially when anonymous people can post to the forum. Youtube is a great resource for homeschoolers but the comments are riddled with inappropriate language from anonymous people.

I see your point. I don’t expect that on FR but until the mods see it there is nothing to do but stay away. Usually the mods do their best. I don’t know how many there are. Only once was I yelled at by a mod & it was a very minor word. However it was on a religion thread at which time I was unaware of.

Yeah the religion threads are stricter. I think the religion moderator stepped in here because we were discussing Christianity and posting scripture. I am not sure of that but just a guess.

Probably the reason that FR is called a *hate site* is because they hate us, and they let us think it’s about us being hateful when they really know that it’s cause they hate us.
They put on on their li8st of sites to hate and call it a hate list.

Well not very much but in a bit I will be mucking stalls, 9 of them unless I can get out of it. Then I will have plenty of manure aka as stools on my boots. I have plenty in huge piles around the barn & it is FREE! Anybody who wants it can come & get it!
