Ratigan is taking orders from his masters to try and get viewers by playing up an angle of outrage. He has to be.
He just embarrassed himself in a way that cost him a lot of credibility in his profession.
I wish it wasn't on at 2:00 in the morning. It's worth finding clips of it on the internet...so funny!

I’ll give Ratigan one up on fellow loony Keith Olbermann. Apparently Olbermann is so afraid that he’ll come down with some dreaded disease, he refuses to allow any conservatives on his show. I don’t know if not being allowed to answer a question is much better, but at least the conservative exposed Ratigan for the totalitarian-minded clown he is. Maybe Ratigan was channeling his inner Freisler.
