What is the “river raisin”??
Hunter would make a great President. But one problem, he is not well known enough and there seems to be no effort by the Republican party to push him into the public eye. That is why he got nowhere the last time around. Palin has the limelight, so I believe Palin with Hunter as VP. Thing might change, but the grand old Party flounders like a bunch of sick puppies and without the hard push of the Party, nothing will happen.
We are going to need an Attila the Hun after 4 years of Obama

There is no effort by the RNC to put any good conservative into the public eye. They’re not even happy with Palin.
Agreed.
The northern Alamo.
Look er up.
There seems to be no push by Hunter to push himself into the public eye.
Let's look at 2008 realistically. Hunter was a retiring Congresmman who used the primary process to advance a key issue. He had neither the funding, infrastructure, nor support network to make a serious run.
2012 may seem a long way away, but anyone who's considering going for the brass ring needs to be working now to set up the chess pieces they're going to need. The "primary season", as depressing as it is to admit this, begins immediately after the mid-term elections in November.
Only problem with Hunter is he proved in 2008 that he can’t get votes outside of his own district.

Why Duncan Hunter is the Man for POTUS, Part 1
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2447661/posts
Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson were the best on the Pubbie side. Two good viable opportunities for good governance.
But they never had a snowballs chance in H - E - Double Hockey Sticks.
The National GOP stacked the deck in 2008 and the MSM was all on board.
We need a national party that believes in the people and not themselves and their good ole boy network. I don’t foresee the national GOP under it’s current leadership making any changes for 2012.
We’ll be underwhelmed AGAIN!
We could do alot worse. I pray we don’t.
Hunter’s game plan is to help win Congress in 2010. HE’a been all over fundraising for conservative candidates. He’s doing what all the wannabee’s should be doing right now.
BUMP. Great minds think alike.
He did to those of us on FR. He was the most popular guy here.
Glad to hear it. I favor Duncan Hunter very much. He’s one of the true tough guys in CA politics. Personally, I wish he’d run for Governor first. We need him; we have no viable CA candidates for Gov.
Something is wrong with the CA GOP when you’ve got Fiorina and Whitman as the two most visible Republicans. ZOinks.
It's a start, but Romney and Palin are doing the same thing, so Hunter's going to need another advantage to offset Romney's cash and Palin's "star power".
I agree. He will need an aggressive plan. he knows that too.
He probably doesn’t stand a chance in hell, but I’d sure take him over the three being shoved in our faces so far.
