On March 5, 2010, Senator Harry Reid said, "Today is a big day in America. Only 36,000 people lost their jobs today, which is really good." Give or take, that is. Harry offered no condolences for those within the 36,000 jobs lost bracket.
And those Million Census Workers mean that it is really 540k Jobs Lost
On November 2, 2010, let's hope the good people of Nevada say: "Today is a big day in America. Senator Harry Reid lost his job today, which is really good."
It’s a certainty for sure!
If Harry Reid really said that (and I’m not clicking through to find someone else’s content on a 3rd-party blog), he is an idiot.
Today’s number is the increase in total unemployment for the month of February. It has no direct relationship to how many people LOST their jobs, nor what is happening today.
Each week, 400+ thousand people are being laid off or losing their jobs. Each week, other people are getting jobs. The number today is how those different things play out over the course of a month.
The job situation is not getting better. It is simply getting worse at a slower rate.
Two things need to happen this election cycle.
McLame needs to go down to J.D. and the good folks of Nevada need to send this butt head Reid to his de feet.
