George Will Hits The Nail on the Head, Robert Reich's Head
The Lid/ABC News/Newsbusters ^ | 3/7/2010 | The Lid

For the second week in a row George Will made mincemeat out of a liberal apologist for Obamacare. Last week it was Paul Krugman, this week, Robert Reich former Secretary of Labor under Bill Clinton, co-founder of American Prospect Magazine and advocate of health care rationing.

In a September 2007 speech to an audience at the UC Berkeley, Reich was quoted saying,

"We're going to have to, if you're very old, we're not going to give you all that technology and all those drugs for the last couple of years of your life to keep you maybe going for another couple of months. It's too expensive...so we're going to let you die

The problem is that half of the American people are such dolts that they can’t be counted on to buy their own insurance—the Democrat half.

This the essence of the Donkey Party message for the last fifty years: the average American is too stupid to know what’s good for him or her, so we’ll make the decisions for them.

Everyone in this cursed administration keeps insisting they are going to lower the cost of health care by reimbursing doctors for the quality of care rather than the quantity of care.

Do people realize that means that someone is going to be deciding which tests, and what care you are going to receive. Someone other than your doctor.

Some bureaucrat?

Stop and think about what they are proposing.

Of course, the identities of the members of the (ahem) panels making these decisions will not be made public.

Maybe Holder will appoint the terror lawyers in his department to monitor our doctors.

Here is the ugly truth that everyone wants to ignore,

This is exactly what is going to happen whether people like it or not. The question becomes, sooner or later?

Or are we all going to act like good little liberals and assume that we can just keep spending money that doesn’t exist?

Do people realize that means that someone is going to be deciding which tests, and what care you are going to receive.

Worse yet, they're going to decide who gets the tests and care, and it's not just the old that had better worry.

You have juvenile diabetes, MS, CP, or any other disability, sorry; you're just not worth enough to society to justify the expense.

Welcome to Nazi America.

If you really want to cut medical costs, only allow catastrophic insurance policies or at least high deductible policies. When people have to hand over cash when they take the kids in for the sniffles or have to pay for that extra test that's nice to have just to be sure, then prices will come down.

Damn those "death panels" pop up again.

These folk are the most evil, cold-hearted, beings since Hitler and Mengele.

They must be stopped!

Maybe that Little Peahead, Reich, will be in canada, or France when he comes down with a survivable Attack “IF HE WAS IN AMERICA!” but he isn’t and hence we will be Blessed with never hearing another sneering Traitorous word from the Twerp!

Putting high risk people into a pool and then subsidizing the cost of coverage would lower the rates for everyone else and keep those in need of continuous care getting the coverage they deserve.

But we know it’s not about health care it’s about taking over our country. How terrifying and inexplicable.

Exactly right.

Instead of a subsidy as a first choice, I would also offer tax breaks to family members who wanted to contribute to the cost of taking care of their seriously ill family member. Only use subsidies as a last resort.

I have a severely autistic older brother. If I were allowed to keep some of the money I pay in taxes in return for paying for his care, I would gladly do so and I would also have much more say in the care that he gets; another benefit.

There are solutions that make sense. They are being deliberately ignored by this crazed administration.

They’ve taken a page from Stalin’s handbook.

Let's say that attempts will be made to conceal their identities. But I think that they will be uncovered and to protect them, they will leave their "occupation" and go into some sort of witness protection program since what they do will make their lives worthless. Lots of people will have motives to end their lives.

He’s just mad because he didn’t get HGH (Human Growth Hormone) shots when he was younger - it’s too late now. I wish he would have had them too, then he wouldn’t be such a @#$@#$ now.
