New York Post: Truman, Ike, Reagan: Next Up, Sarah Palin!
Citizen Palin 4 President ^ | Ralph Peters

Posted on 03/17/2010 7:46:25 AM PDT by MaxCUA

THE ISSUE: Whether presidential candidates today have character, as their predecessors did. In looking for a president with the character of Dwight Eisenhower, Harry Truman and Ronald Reagan, Ralph Peters asks, "Will we ever again have a president who didn't go to an Ivy League school, who knows what it's like to struggle -- as so many Americans struggle every day -- and who's tasted defeat, but got back in the ring with his dukes up?" ("Why Our 'Post-Modern Presidents' Fail,").

The answer is "yes." Her name is Sarah Palin. etc...

True, but Ronald was never the target of a constant barrage of frivolus lawsuits that risked putting his family into bankruptcy. Those lawsuits cost Palin *half a million* dollars. At the time, she and Todd only made about 200,000. They even had to put a second mortgage on their house, if I’m not mistaken. Also, she was so busy fending those lawsuits off, that she had less and less time to do her job as govenor.

“What is your deal bud. Do you hate Christians ? Do you hate women ? Are you Pro Abortion ? I am trying to figure out what column to put you in.”

The usual ad hominums from those who have no argument and have run out of ideas.

If you want to put me in a category than place me in “those who want a candidate who can beat Obama or whomever crawls out from under the rock in 2012”.

Palin may win the GOP nominatin but she’ll lose by 8% in the general to most anyone the dems put up.

You have never been a Palin supporter.
Your mantra is QUIT even with dozens of documented
posts started with that of Sarah’s atty.

The quit mantra comes from those who run on empty
with no intellect.

The tighter you grip this “Palin is Reagan” mantra the more votes will slip through your fingers.

The tighter you grip this "Palin Derangement Syndrome" of yours, the more of a laughing stock you become.

I have already stated that I understood that. There are those out there that she needs to win over that would have been happier if she had stayed. She still could have wrote her book. She still could have made speeches.

I am not who Palin has to win on this issue. It is the indies and moderates she has to win. Maybe she is doing that in her support for McCain. Who knows?

“Reagan wasn’t required to resign at the time., Palin really had no choice.”

I tell you what. If Ardent Palin supporters go to Jim and tell him you want a real debate and discussion about Palin and for him to place a moratorium on bannings, time outs and retribution against Palin critics, then we can talk.

But I have a good idea that will never happen.

“What is your problem with Sarah Palin ?”

This is something I don’t think you will ever get. Our problem isn’t so much with Palin as it is with you.

“Sarah put her State before herself, in that a State needs a full time Governor not being jammed by the left wing to take her out totally using up her time with Frivolous law suits.”

So when the libs jam her with POTUS complaints, bogus accusations and impeachment threats, will she quit again?

You are right, Bob J. Palin is not Reagan.

Palin is what Reagan could only aspire to being. Real. Reagan’s chosen career was acting, remember. He did a truly amazing job to put fantasy behind him, still Palin would REALLY RIF — reduce the Federal government, and Palin would have never run from Beirut.

Palin also wouldn’t have us playing footsie with the ‘right-wing’ nacroistas against the Sandistas.

The posse here exists on vapid insults, go ahead and amuse yourselves.

The adults will just snicker at you.

Wow. Big words for someone who's just returned from a big suspension by the boss.
