Breaking: North Korea Fires On South Korean Naval Ship. Ship Sinking Many Feared Dead
The Lid/Various ^ | 3/26/2010 | The Lid

President Obama's Foreign Policy is more like a Neville Chamberlain imitation. But you cant say it isn't working. After he reached hand out to despots such as Ahmadinjad, shares a laugh with dictators such as Chavez and bows to the King of the repressive Saudi regime, the world has taken notice and laughs at the United States.

According to multiple sources today is North Korea's turn to laugh at President Obama's foreign policy. Right now a South Korean navy ship is sinking in the Yellow Sea near North Korea early Saturday, and the navy was shooting at an unidentified ship toward the north, the Korean Yonhap News Agency reported. Many South Korean sailors on the stricken vessel were feared dead.

Update: Ship has completely sunk.

About 50 members of the ship have not been rescued —do not know if those 50 are confirmed dead or not. I have heard that SK commanders have been told to FIRE IF IN DOUBT.

(this is from TigerLikesRooster, who would know)

His initial statement will condemn the South Koreans. His initial instinct is always to side with the totalitarians.

It will be interesting to see what the United States does at this moment of need to stand by South Korea and show the North that provocations have consequences. Chances are he will blame it on Israeli settlements in Jerusalem.

How sadly true these words are. Obamadinejad will send Maddy Halfbright off to dance with Dear Leader II.

Now that we have this coward communists bastar@ as President he will probably ask South Korea to do nothing. South Korea will have a lot to think of since the North now has nuclear weapons. America is so weak the World will come apart and we do have lots to fear with a rotten communists King Obama to lead what is left to the free World.

We were talking earlier today about a false story to be used by the Democrats. Maybe we just didn’t think internationally.

A little pre-mature yet to say it was an attack. For all we know it could have been an accident, having nothing to do with N. Korea.

Until we have more information, let’s hope it was an unfortunate accident and the loss of life is minimal. If it was an attack, then S. Korea is in serious trouble. If Obama can’t manage to talk to his Generals more often than he has with a war in Afghanistan and Iraq ... his ‘aide’ with North Korea will likely do more harm than good.

From the following certainly sounds like a planned event:

*********************************EXCERPT*********************************

North Korea has said in recent weeks it is bolstering its defense in response to joint South Korean-U.S. military drills that were held this month.

The North Korean army conducted dozens of artillery firing drills earlier Friday, according to Seoul's military officials.

I think the operative word is Zero is EMBOLDENING these foreign despots, just like he is with the terrorists. They don’t give a hoot the old USofA...Maybe that explains why Zero is in cahoots with them.

Wow — according to that report only 58 of the 104 member crew have been rescued so far.

1/2 the crew lost and the US response will be “tsk tsk tsk.” This never would have happened under Bush (either one).

The appeasers weigh in:

S.Korea plays down reports of North attack on ship 26 Mar 2010 16:55:54 GMT Source: Reuters

SEOUL, March 26 (Reuters) - South Korea's government played down reports that a navy ship sinking with more than 100 people on board may have been hit by a North Korean attack.

"It is not clear whether North Korea was involved," Presidential Blue House spokeswoman Kim Eun-hye told Reuters. (Editing by Alex Richardson)

“The appeasers weigh in:”

I would say caution is very appropriate at this stage in this situation.
Before WWIII starts, we want to make sure the facts are in and understood.

Yeah, like a member of the Obama Administration. Need a distraction from the details about the new Health Care Reform law that are now spilling out.

Not our side, the Communist side; Obama. I also don’t think our Navy did it, he just made our Navy stand down from stopping NK from doing it. I have no doubt we track and tale all NK subs and could stop an attack. Imagine the NCA with Obama at the top not responding or refusing to allow our sub captain to fire.

I don’t think Obummer has the nerve to even do that. The Naval officers have too much honor, and the story would get out. Even Obummer knows that much, so he wouldn’t try.

Deadfish in a parking garage speaking to a hitman is more his style. Deniable, and false flagged.

Speaking of fish, something stinks about this. IF, and I do mean IF, the NK fired a fish, this raises all kinds of issues. Did we not tail that sub? Did we not know? Did we not get permission to fire? Was that request delayed or denied? wow. Mind boggling. I know those systems backwards and forwards. There is no way we couldn’t have know if in the area.

I don’t believe for a minute we put nukes in close proximity to NK home waters/sub pens. Diesel electrics can be very quiet on batteries. They can go in and out of pens underwater/concealed in cliffs all day long. Which one is going to push to the edge and fire a torpedo? No way do we have enough SSNs to keep an ear on them all. SOSUS type listening arrays might hear NK subs in their waters, but so what? It’s an every day thing. The only difference is that this one fired a shot at a SK ship that got close to the line. (A line that is different on NK and SK charts BTW.)
