The Right News received the following email which we feel represents a large portion of Americans attitudes at this time in our history. One day, we just may wake up and find out that our country has been taken away by those in Washington.
To: RightNews,
From: A Concerned Citizen
Now first off, I am not trying to incite violence. I do have a question though. Why are these politicians surprised when desperate stripped people fight back the only way they can.
These politicians live in their ivory towers, surrounded by police, private security, and their teams of bulldog lawyers while they dictate how every common man and woman should live their lives.
When they implement laws that negatively effect people, it makes sense for people to get pissed. These pissed off citizens can respond in 1 of 2 ways.
1. Diplomatically, we can make phone calls, faxes, emails, organize town hall meetings all in opposition of these treasonous acts and what do OUR elected representatives do? They ignore us or even worse, try to spin everything we say into nutjob gibberish resulting in nothing. If in fact someone is actually successful in challenging them, the team of bulldog attorneys and endless funds only solidifies their decisions. It's a lose/lose situation.
2. Violence. This is the option that is funny to me. I was listening to the radio today and they were talking about the congressman who's BBQ tank propane line was cut. They began going on and on and on about how horrible violence is and how it is never justified. What's so funny about it? These people have effectively bogged the system so far down in BS, that the average person will never have a chance at undoing the damage they have done. Desperate people snap when they have nothing to lose and these politicians are surprised when people react with the only thing they got left?
I have never been the type of person to think the sky is falling, but I am worried for the first time in my life that things are going to unravel. Desperate people who have nothing to lose are going to snap more and more and there won't be a thing anyone can do about it. These politicians who refused to listen to the people who voted them in office are going to become the targets through their own doing, and the whole time they are going to complain that it isn't justified. Well, if they had listened in the first place, people wouldn't have had to resort to violence. It will be their own fault and it's going to be scary to watch.
I sure hope I'm wrong, but what else can be effective against teams of attorneys and endless money other than violence?
Vote em out in November? Yeah right, like the new ones voted in will be any different? What then?
Scary times we live in.
there is another option. Do EVERYTHING in our power to vote their asses OUT, OUT, OUT and fight, fight, fight for our values in the interim—selling to our children and the rest of the nation the value or our values.
Let’s bombard them with flowers and rainbows, that should work out pretty well.
We need to ghandi them.
Use the truth as an anvil, and peaceful resistance as our hammer.
Be “the new ones voted in.”
2006 - Our government is run by evil people like Bush and his cronies: any action to get rid of them is justified! They are doing things against the will of the people.
2010 - Our citizens are out of control! How DARE they try to tell their elected officials what to do? And how dare they be mad when we’re doing great work for them?!
Some things should not be said, so I will not.
Can anyone recall a time in American history when politicians lived in physical fear of ordinary, middle class, working Americans?
I don’t mean fringe whackjobs like the Weather Underground in the 60s and 70s or the so-called “anarchists” of the late 19th centurey.
I mean average, productive, tax-paying Americans like the Tea Partiers.
I can’t identify any such time off the top of my head (obviously, putting aside the actual hostilities of the Civil War).
Violence isn’t the best answer, but it is inevitable.
“...make phone calls, faxes, emails, organize town hall meetings...”
What happened last Sunday was proof positive that the left knows that the right are a bunch of PUSSIES who they can just roll over at will.
They will continue to shove their Socialist agenda down our throat until we can grow a pair.
I tend to agree but the peaceful resistance needs to be obvious, open and notorious. Mass protests. Shut down the highways. Strikes. All of the crap the Left did in the 1960s to rot decent society. Hammer these *sspipes the way they hammered us. Then we will see social change. Open, notorious and obvious...
Overall, how's that working for you the last 40 years or so?
Open, notorious, and obvious!
I like it.
Today's politicians with guilty consciences working overtime and thinking how they can possibly avoid their constituents who are not exactly pleased (in fact, anything BUT pleased) with their so-called "representatives."
It was disconcerning when Kruschev threatened to bury us all, and here we are living in fear of just that courtesy of Obamacare via Medicare cuts and death panels.
We have also allowed the media and film industry a pass for years as they brainwash and throw their values and judgments upon conservatives everywhere and have gotten away with it. Truth is the fight has recently just begun and it must be in every cell of America and of Americana! But I understand you anger and passion. This country will not go down without a fight!!!!!!
No, I cannot recall either..... But I do know I have never been so angry with our representatives nor have I ever been so terrified for our country with the administration that is in power. They are destroying this country worse than if an army had arrived on our shores.
Even Beck did not sound convincing when he said it...
“Can anyone recall a time in American history when politicians lived in physical fear of ordinary, middle class, working Americans?”
THIS is what I find so exciting...the idea that we’re scaring them, in their ivory towers. So be it...this is what they have asked for. NOW, we have to get to the uninformed....
I find that anonymously snail mailing info to uninformed people (or, distributing info via plastic door hangers on their mailboxes) gives a great sense of empowerment. Granted, it’s a small amount of money involved, but, when I can’t spend $100 to contribute to a candidate’s campaign, twenty dollars spent on postage and copies MAY influence some ignats that don’t realize what is happening right under their uninformed noses. If the mainstream media won’t inform them, we should.
Some people need to be “spoon-fed”.
It’s a small undertaking, but if EVERYONE did it, it could accomplish a lot before elections.

*shrug* How it sounds isn’t as important as knowing that it works.
Especially when you consider that the media are desperately seeking violence on the part of the tea parties.
If the media could just find that one guy......... just one......... then they could perhaps get the government to silence everybody and crush all opposition.
The problem with that premise is that our military is trained to spot it’s enemies.
And they know who their enemy is right now. Obama has not befriended our heroes.
If/when it comes down to it, the military would stand with the people, not with president malcontent.
Violence isnt the best answer, but it is inevitable.
I disagree. It’s both inevitable and the best answer. The reason it’s both is that it is — alas — the ONLY communication the left understands. We know this because the left enacts social policies that work by inflicting violence on citizens. Zerocare is the use of force against peaceful citizens. Period.
I don’t think we should initiate violence...merely be ready to use it if necessary. We should passively resist zerocare to see just how far the left will go to enforce it. If the left initiates violence, then it has declared open war.
I urge FReepers to consider the following: if the left does not at least feel the sting of FEAR of violence from conservatives and libertarians, and if we passively roll over and cave in to IRS agents enforcing compliance with mandates to purchase health insurance, then that will convince the left that we are frauds. Unfortunately, history — especially 20th century European history — proves that when dealing with the left, the threat of force, and sometimes the use of it, are the only ways it respects.
I posted earlier that the first thing one might do — a very simple thing, I think — is to make an appointment with one’s doctor and urge him or her to quit medicine. I’m quite sure no other patient will have mentioned this. Also suggest a Web site called practiceabroad.com, established by MDs, for MDs, as a kind of advice portal on how to set up a practice outside of the United Socialist States.
Secondly — again, judging by 20th century European history of leftist takeovers of countries — get as much of your money or wealth as you can OUT of the U.S., because foreign exchange controls are sure to follow socialized medicine. It’s imperative for the left to keep private sector wealth from flowing out of the country because THEY WANT IT, and they need it to fund all of their redistributionist schemes. Guaranteed, political elites will be either exempt from any such controls (just as congress and staffers are exempt from obamacare) or they already have wealth posted outside of the country. I have no specifics on where to go, but you must start thinking this way and investigating on your own.
Violence may not be the most desirable way to get a point across but it does gain more attention than peaceful demonstrations do. In September nearly a million people marched on Washington and Obama acted as if he hadn’t even noticed them. Compare that reaction to what was generated by the brick through Louise Slaughter’s window... and that wasn’t even REAL violence.
No one with any sense wants our situation to erupt into shooting but that’s where it’s heading. Each side accuses the other of fomenting it and spins individual events to justify their versions. Liberals are sure conservatives want to kill them and conservatives believe that the libs are hoping for some sort of “Reichstag Fire” event so they can consolidate their hold on the government.
Who’s right? I don’t know but it looks more and more like both sides are pushing for the same thing... a bloody civil war that neither will win. With both sides working for the same end it’s just a matter of time before it starts. Are you ready? Are your kids ready?
There are many things that we can do. Most civil disobedience will require masses of people. Here is something I’ve been posting today, that might also be effective.
“This is a declaration of economic war against the producers of this country. To rob us and then kill us with their phony health care bill.
The coming avalanche of the loss of freedom is going try to slowly crush the middle class, like a frog in warm water when the gas has just been turned on.
There is a way to stop this insanity. But it will take a large amount of anger and willingness to stand up, to do it.
The crux of this current economic mess is the Credit Swaps. These CDSs are insurance for the mortgage backed securities, MBS, that they made up and sold. They are dependent on a steady stream of money from mortgages. This is what is holding up the Federal government, and even the FED has this stuff on its books right now.
Dont pay the mortgage. This WILL collapse the system. It will kill the dollar, it will kill the ability of this country to get loans, they wouldnt be able to PAY FOR ANY OF THIS TO THEIR CRONIES, PUBLIC SERVANTS, if we push this system over the cliff.
Think about it. It would work, but are enough people willing to give the government a push, are enough people awake to want to think outside the box?”
nearly every great issue in history has been settled by violence
Placemarker
Agreed on dumping the mortgages. Many of the recent ones were devised by con artists for ill-gotten revenues to cover for the excesses of anti-American importers and merchants anyway. The sooner the house of cards falls, the sooner we can rebuild without all kinds of pathological thieves and huffy, puffy, jealous, busybody neighbors standing in our way with regulations against competition.
I am confounded over the wisdom to respond at all. However some things must be stated in plain English.
Do we have choices?
Let us examine some recent history:
We the people play by the rules of the system, a representative republic (NOT a democracy) that any casual disinterested observer, using informed reason, will note is not functioning as originally intended by those who designed it, and left us not only the official blueprint, but also more than sufficient precursory writings to discover and understand exactly what their intentions were and were not.
The letters, faxes, e-mails, and phone calls of a responsible yet desperately vexed citizenry, probably sent by the millions, go without honest response or else are ignored completely.
Sincere in-person overtures, made by constituents to their elected representatives, gain nothing but scorn, ridicule, pejorative attacks and even physical violence against their persons through the attacks of hired thugs.
Protests having over 1,000,000 peaceful citizens, unanimously and respectfully demanding a redress of their grievances, utterly fails to make an impression on the elected representatives of We the people.
Those who speak truth to power effectively, rebutting Utopian ideologies having a long and tragic history of failure and which by design are diametrically opposed to American culture, are targeted by political operatives for illicit investigations that amount to unabashed abuses of power.
The public media is manipulated and used as a political tool to pillory, culminate, marginalize, and, if such were possible, disenfranchise all dissenters opposed to the apparently pre-ordained outcome. A media that now functions as a propaganda organ secured by those whose ideology trumps their ordained mission to objectively search for truth. A media that has jettisoned even the pretense of their constitutional charter to hold as a sacred duty the preservation of the truth.
Every manner of dishonest maneuvering is accomplished by elected representatives, and at all levels of government, their actions proving a complete contempt for the considered opinions of an informed and justifiably concerned citizen majority, even in disregard of the well-announced electoral consequences for such wanton disrespect.
What am I stating here? I am stating without reservation that the political voice of the people is not only ignored, but it is actively despised and confounded. How is the color of all the preceding offenses different, by any rational measure, from the acts perpetrated by the British Crown under King George III? They are in fact far worse, for reason that our representative government is empowered only by the consent of the governed. We are a republic, not a monarchy, and so our non-representing representatives have no excuse behind which to hide their obscene offenses against truth, justice and charity. Their actions make those of King George tame in comparison. All that remains for them to do is to quarter troops in our homes; and does any reasonable American, perceptive of recent history, entertain any doubt that this too must come to pass?
Today it is socialized health care and the hijacking, by the raw government power, of one-sixth of the private sector economy. This action following the ransom, by threat, coercion and fiat, of the banking, insurance, securities, and automotive industries.
On the federal radar is a total control of all water (navigable or otherwise) all food production, and all dietary supplements. On their radar is control of all transportation and manufacturing via the pretense of a ginned up crisis based on a demonstrably corrupt and politicized science. On their radar is the control and ownership of all parental authority and educational jurisdiction.
Tomorrow will see their corruption of the ballot box, via legislative acts of amnesty and universal voter registration. They will work the same unconstitutional tactics they have used to implement nationalized health care and all the other reckless acts of usurpation and piracy. If successful (There is little credible reason to think they will be anything less) then these practitioners of gross perfidy and malfeasance in office will have Carte Blanche powers to affect whatever they will upon the American people.
Then, so as to stave off what may be argued a justifiable rebellion, they will incrementally implement all color of law (as did the Nazis and the Stalinists) so to effectively neuter and finally remove the last bulwark of resistance to which the American citizenry has as its recourse: our firearms. By the time Americans universally recognize and accept as true what has come upon us, it will be too late to affect any meaningful resistance to the oppressing tyranny of a supreme national government, wholly alien to the form our founders created. We will be killed by the death of a thousand cuts. We will be effectively emasculated, chained and sold into slavery in less than one generation.
So, considering these very real and hardly remote possibilities, what recourse have we?
There is an old piece of wisdom that I recall, though not verbatim, so I will paraphrase: If one does not fight when he may win, there will come a time when he must fight knowing he shall lose. My dearest countrymen, I offer this warning for your thoughtful consideration.
Well said...
Think of it, the whole country would be a battlefield. The powers that be, their associates and families live in the battlefield. What whould have happened if all the top military and political powers of the Vietnam era had their families living all over Vietnam? How long do you think that deal would have lasted?
Hopefully, the mess that is being created now can be reversed in major part through elections and public pressure, but, whether left or right, a million armed individuals can bring a country, its leaders and military down.
Now what results is another matter. According to John Templeton, it will be first a dictator then a monarchy. I hope we never get there.
But can a handgun defeat an army?... Yes....
It remains to be seen whether the struggle of our generation against the tyrants of our day in the first decade of the 21st Century will bring a restoration of liberty and the rule of law or a dark and bloody descent into chaos and slavery.
If it is to be the former, I will meet you at the new Yorktown. If it is to be the latter, I will meet you at Masada. But I will not be a slave. And I know that whether we succeed or fail, if we should fall along the way, our graves will one day be visited by other free Americans, thanking us that we did not forget that, with help of Almighty God, in the hands of a free man a handgun CAN defeat a tyrant’s army.
You’ll have no arguement from me on this.....but as with war it is the last option when all else has failed.....
"There is a time for war and a time for peace"........Ecclesiastes
It is not the “right”, it is hard working Americans. They are not pussies, but unlike most on the left, they do have a lot to lose by being arrested, plus they have respect and self control which those on the left do not have.
That being said, Americans are not bullies but they are not pushovers either. This is coming to a head really fast and if immigration gets forced down our throats like this healthcare did, I really think it will be on!
Both parties sit there and accuse eachother of Fear tactics, what these POS’s in their ivory towers don’t understand is that WE are seeing our entire way of life go down the toilet. Not in the future but right now!!!
No, they won't. The reason being is the individual Representatives or Senators do not set the agenda, the party does. Unless the PARTY is changed or eliminated, the mere changing of the individuals is meaningless.
Compare the capture or killing of jihadists. They will be replaced by others who walk to the tune of Islam. As long as Islam exists so will attempts at our annihilation.
In each case we are striking at the wrong entity. We are attacking individuals instead of their ideology. In the struggle for survival either you go for the jugular or you might as well capitulate. Harry Truman decided to stop the bleeding and struck two decisive blows against Japan.
What will it take for us as a nation to finally say, enough is enough and strike the blow(s) to put a stop to the bleeding caused by foreign and domestic enemies???
Who is John Galt?
Cloward - Piven
To be exact it is a fascist agenda ie state control while leaving the figleaf of private ownership .
The state control is for deteriming who gets to provide goods/services,at what amount of profit ie that deemed to be excessive is seized by the politicians for thier own use,who will be allowed to buy goods/services,what amount of goods/services will be allowed to be provided to the public.
Remind the politicians of just what they have done to our country & remind them how Mussolini ended up.
Beer talk. Too many have too much to loose (ultimately, we will loose all) to risk throwing off the commie apparatchik that have infested Washington, DC. And they have just flipped the last card of control over the people - eventually they will deny health care to any (and their families) who oppose the new "status quo". We're in charge now, as these abject bestial, tribal morons cry, we're in charge! And the American ideal will die for a millennium.
loose = lose. Ugh.
BTTT
Meanwhile, the laws that are passed are insidious in their cleverness. They won't ever do something that can't be justified as kindness and compassion, thereby confusing and flummoxing over half of us. They won't ever confiscate weapons. Instead they will find ways to make owning them and using them so expensive that very few people will be able to afford them.
No - the answer is communication, of all kinds. The pen is mightier than the sword. But, you say, the MSM own communication, not any more. There are a lot more tools at ouer disposal than were availble to Tom Pain and Ben Franklin. We can write, shoot video, haunt social networking sites and more. Look at some of the very clever work being done by young people such as Jason Mattera: http://www.nrbookservice.com/products/BookPage.asp?prod_cd=C7581
My favorite tool is ridicule. http://www.buzzfeed.com/sarahmorgan/obama-zombies-d8 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KhbYjkxxYc
But, do whatever you are good at, even if it's a crayon drawing. Besides, have you noticed that ammunition is getting really expensive? I don't think the factories can keep up.
Good comments. It is true about the workers in government, as a homeschooler, it has been those who make their living inside that system, that scream the loudest when homeschooling is discussed.
The division between government workers, and private serfs will become the fracture line that will cause civil unrest. I just think that ultimately, it will be the government union workers who will start the violence.
And thank you about Ferfal’s book, I have read his very long post last year before he had a blog. I need to do that today. I have been meaning to get it for awhile.
