Of course it is. He will sell the oil leases to china and we will not get the benefit of it. He will say... well china will not have to buy as much oil on the market so there is the benefit. Same thing when clinton took our oil reserves and sold them to European oil companies and left america nothing.
This is B*llS***. Don’t fall for it. He will never allow actual drilling. This is only to show that he is ‘open’ to the idea of Offshore drilling.
That’s what I was thinking too because he ALWAYS has an angle to screw us over. ALLOW drilling then TAX the operation by having the Feds confiscate the rig.

IIRC, BO didn't open anything up, this happened in 2008--BO SHUT DOWN the idea after taking office, and now is pretending it is all HIS idea.
