The Jerusalem Post reports that Dan Shapiro, the U.S. National Security Council's top Middle East adviser, conducted a conference call with American Jewish leaders on Friday to reassure them about the White House's intentions towards Israel. In what I take to be his only honest utterance. Shapiro said that a "resolution" of the episode is close. The resolution, I assume, will be concessions by Netanyahu.

Bambi and Bibi
Obamunism is every bit as evil as Communism.
This is clearly a “regime change” play by Zero and his self-loathing Jewish (JINO) acolytes. They did it before - remember when Clinton sent Carville and Begala to set up campaign for the lib/socialist Labor candidate in Israel’s elections? Same cast of characters, plus the odious communist Axelrod.
Funny isn’t it? Dems/Libs/Socialsists/Marxists (they’re all blended now into one nauseating soup) here decry to the heavens when “regime change” is considered for murdering dictators who ultimately threaten our security. Yet, they have no similar qualms when it comes to encouraging (via any means possible short of military invasion) regime change on democratically elected leaders of our most treasured, historic allies.
Change you can believe in!!!
God help us get through what is sure to be (kudos to Gerald Ford) “our long national nightmare”.
Demanding, no. Encouraging, yes.
>American Jewish “leaders” can not get past their ideological orientation. They gag and choke on the idea that Conservatives defend Israeli interests. Conservatives are the only ones who do. The American Jewish Community doesn’t deserve Conservative support. They haven’t earned it.
Agreed. I deal with numerous Jewish Americans in L.A. and they are the most self-hating Jews I have ever known. They play along with the Jewish customs, that I witness, yet this is all for nothing when they cannot even accept the fact their own Rat party is the one trying to slice up Israel.
I hope Bibi’s next call to D.C. is to inform them of the additional parking space available in Iran......
I suggest you that movie:
It is a joy! You watch German Socialists being blown up in gory pieces over and over again! There is even a Socialist being scalped full screen! [get the DVD and you can watch it in slow mo’ which is very pleasurable].
Those doing the killing are Jews! Probably Socialist themselves ... but I digress.
Anyways. ThemJews win the battle and then their heirs vote for B. Hussein Obama ...
Looking forward to the next historical movie and Jews will ....
Yep, to almost 80% of American Jews. I can't figure this out, how can all these Jews think that the crocodile will eat them last?
We're talking about Israel here, and her right to decide how what housing is to be built in her own capital. The "American Jewish leaders" who were called by the White House were carefully selected to minimize resistance. The "American Jewish community" is (1) not monolithic and (2) distinct from Israeli interests. Israeli interests must be generally supported by conservatives for fundamental strategic reasons, regardless of the stupidity of the type of "American Jewish leaders" that the Obamatons choose to deal with.
I’m hopeful that they will contribute to Republican victories this year. I believe that the Orthodox and Conservative (big C) Jewish will be open to voting Democrats out. There is precedent for this.
You are welcome to follow the campaign from the Republican Jewish perspective at the Republican Jewish Coalition web site (www.rjchq.com).
BTW, I'd bet my wallet that no "American Jewish leader" from the RJC was involved in the WH calls described in the posted article.
These are American LIBERAL leaders. The Jewish part only enters into the equation when it benefits these people in some way. American Jews are leftists first, Jews only when it’s convenient or profitable.
Bibi hasn’t been in the mood to be concessionary so far. why now? he knows that Israel isn’t the key to unlock the Iranian mess even if Obama and Hillary are delusional.
I've spoken to some of the leaders. They are afraid of speaking up. They fear alienating Obama and the Democrat congress and the donors who don't pay attention. It is a cycle of doom. Only grassroots uprising by Jews can fix it.
American Jewish leaders are the most liberal of liberals. They are pacifists to a fault. They would easily perish under another Nazi regime as they have not learned any lessons about survival.
See my reference to Rush in msg #8. Other than that, I dont know what to tell you.
The "American Jewish community" is (1) not monolithic
Define monolithic. Does the fact that Dennis Prager (and a few like him) is a firm conservative prove that the American Jewish Community is not monolithic? I would submit that the American Jewish Community comes a lot closer to being monolithic than does the Republican Party.
(2) distinct from Israeli interests.
Boy howdy, are they ever distinct. Which is one of the most compelling reasons why the American Jewish Community doesnt deserve the support of Conservatives. They stink the same as any other Liberal.
Israeli interests must be generally supported by conservatives for fundamental strategic reasons . . .
Not to mention that it is just generally the right thing to do. Conservatives understand this. I wonder, why not Liberals? Until they do they dont deserve the support of Conservatives in any particular.
I forget his name but the head of Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership should on that list also. Aaron Zellerman, I believe.
Please forgive Obama’s behavior in this matter. He has to do what he is doing because of the Jihad requirements of his faith.
Bill Kristol, and Dick Morris. The person who converted me to the Republican Party was Milton Friedman ..
Very well. I take it that your thesis is that the Jewish American Community has undergone a major philosophical rift profoundly splitting the community asunder. If that is indeed the case, then stop the presses! This is the most underreported story of the decade. By both the regular news media pukes and the Conservative press.
Foxman and other useful idiots and infidels..
First, I wasn’t trying to do an exhaustive list of politically prominent conservative American Jews, just limiting it to a few pundits and intellectuals. So I wasn’t thinking of Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, although I surely have heard of them.
Thanks for your input. Are you Jewish, BTW?
I could have mentioned Bill Kristol, as well as his father, Irving, but my list wasn't intended to be exhaustive, just some examples.
Being Jewish is something like an ethnicity. You can’t convert from being Italian, similarly you can’t really convert from being Jewish.
You can convert from Judaism to Catholicism and still remain ethnically Jewish . .in fact you almost have to. Bob Novak converted to Catholicism but was still ethnically Jewish.
Your decision to leave Bill Kristol off the list of influential Jewish Republicans is strange. Last time I checked, Kristol was the editor of the Weekly Standard and appears regularly on Fox News.
Didn't deliberately leave Bill Kristol off the list. Just a case, perhaps, of brain lock on my part. I could also have thought of Michael Ledeen and Don Feder, as well as quite a few others, I'm sure. As I said, the list was not intended to be exhaustive.
I wonder how some of these so-called “leaders” get the title. They have nothing but a foundation and a mailing list to boast of, and they are completely out of touch with most Jews.
Basically, the MSM confers it on them. (LOL!)
I only have five more box tops to send in before the MSM makes me a “leader”.
Really? What did he specifically and publicly demand of them? What concessions did he get? What consequences did they suffer for failing to make demanded concessions?
There’ve been no demands made of the Pali squatters. Shapiro has his head squarely up his wazoo.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

(just kidding, you’re correct of course!)
