"California State Stanislaus Students Want to Ban Sarah Palin from Campus Speech Due to Ideological Reasons" the story headline acurately reads.

However, the larger more troubling story is who is behind the student's protest and ban.

Two faculty members, Terry D. Jones, Associate Professor and Patrick A Kelly, Professor at CSU Stanislaus are the administrator and creator of a Facebook group with the express purpose of inciting student protest of Sarah Palin. Mr. Kelly in particular stated Palin “is widely regarded as anti-intellectual, and her polarizing rhetoric and intolerance of views that differ from her own run counter to the very idea of a university”.

This comment has consequently become the main talking point of the students and why wouldn’t it? After all students are impressionable and therefore easily manipulated by ideologues like Kelly and Jones who in one breath decry tolerance of views different from one’s own, while under the other incite impressionable students to be intolerant and protest the views of those who differ from their own.

Would it be wrong to wish a couple of conservative students would teach these esteemed professors a lesson in free speech????

Free speech is allowed for EVERY opinion .... except conservativism.

Tolerant little S.O.B.'s aren't they?

The fact that these ill-educated clowns are “professors” says it all. Why do we give these idiots money? Tenure? They couldn’t pass my freshman calculus course, let along anything in advance comm theory,

We’ve got a real problem in our colleges that can be solved by getting rid of useless academic majors.

If those two fools Jones and Kelly are so convinced that Sarah Palin is an ‘anti-intellectual’, why are they so frightened of her that they have to seek her being banned from speaking?

Those two walking talking turds should challenge Sarah to a debate if they are indeed her (laugh-chuckle-snort) ‘intellectual superiors’.

Sent the following just now.

Dear Sir or Madam: Sarah Palin is intolerant of views differing from hers? But Jones and Kelly ARE NOT? What an alternate universe they live in. Also, their idea of intellectual, if they include themselves and most lib /progressive profs, would fit the description of pseudo-intellectual in my dictiionary. These students and professors are full of hate, vitriol, intolerance, and can only accuse others of the enmity they themselves harbor. No wonder CA is in such a mess. People like this have been running over others and shouting down their ideas for 40 years or more. For shame.

Mr. Kelly in particular stated Palin “is widely regarded as anti-intellectual, and her polarizing rhetoric and intolerance of views that differ from her own run counter to the very idea of a university”.

The above statement, of course, is EXTREMELY tolerant of other's views, especially Sarah's. /SAR

“We’ve got a real problem in our colleges that can be solved by getting rid of useless academic majors.”

That would certainly reduce the number of college students.
