Lawmakers: Afghan Leader Threatens to Join Taliban
Logans Warning ^ | April 5Th, 2010 | Christopher Logan

Posted on 04/05/2010 4:15:43 PM PDT by Islaminaction

Is this finally the last straw? Will we now wake up, and realize that we have no Muslim allies? They are using us for our money, and to gain power. In the end they will stand with Islam against us. It is time to bring the troops home, drill where we can, and end all Muslim immigration and aid. As I have been saying for years, it will be us or them. There will be no middle ground, so take a side.

Obama will be on this, pleading to know what it is that we did that offended Karzai so that he chose the Taliban over us.

I trying to remember if it was Carville over there during the election promoting Karzai’s opponent. Also did not Obama say he was delaying sending troops to Afghanistan because of Karzai. From what I have read in the press Hillary has been over there badgering him. I think Karzai has had a belly full of the Obama regime’s foreign policy. I don’t think Chicago thug diplomacy works in Afghanistan. I also think Bush/Chenny would have handled the situation differently with out all the drama.

No... obama has accused this man of being Tony Soprano of the ME... maybe he is... maybe he isn't... I do not know. From what I have been told by friends having served and serving there... all of this part of the world accepts the way that business is done there. Afghanistan operates under different rules than the west it seems. One thing about it... Karzai despises obama as much as we do. He is a weak quisling muzzie that lies to muslims as well as others.

Karzai never kissed imanutjob or threatened to join the Taliban when Bush was President. America's president and her government are despised throughout the world. They promised to make the world love us... but all they did was make the entire world... including most Americans... miss George W. Bush badly... warts and all!

I'd guess he was speaking in his first language, which is not English but Pashto, and enjoyed translation by someone not as politically trustworthy as he thought.

"SUBJUNCTIVE (نا خبري) ما کتاب لوستو؟ Subjunctive mood is used to show the speaker’s or the writer’s hopes, wishes or doubts about an event. A verb showing the possibility of an event is also included in this category. Some examples are:...."

Taken from: http://www.mabidkhan.com/pdf_papers/Pashto%20Verb%20General.pdf

I believe that satisfactorily explains how a translator can mistranslate Pashto at will and totally misrepresent the speaker's intent.

Give you an example ~ Karzai might well have said "Well, I might well as have joined the Taliban if that were to have happened". That could be translated as "You do that and I join the Taliban".

The problem here is that many languages, and Pashto is one, like Spanish, chronically use subjunctive mood to avoid offense. English is quite declarative and doesn't care if you are offended because, as it turns out, we English speakers sound so calm and nice as we deliver the most hideous threats.

I'd like to see the text in Pashto and English to see if one of the 25,000 Afghans who live within 5 miles of me can provide advice on the real meaning of the discussion.

Remember, it's not beyond belief that the Obama regime would misrepresent what Karzai said in order to stab him in the back. That's the Chicago Way!

You will learn to use subjunctive mood yet or they'll be chopping off your head first chance they get.

We don't know what Karzai actually said. We have only the representation of local politicians and many Afghans are known to lie in a never ending stream.

Maybe Muawiyah know better than this guy...

“He said that ‘if I come under foreign pressure, I might join the Taliban’,” said Farooq Marenai, who represents the eastern province of Nangarhar.

or this.....

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said reports Karzai threatened to abandon the political process and join the Taliban insurgency if he continued to receive pressure from Western backers to reform his government are troubling.

“On behalf of the American people, we’re frustrated with the remarks,” Gibbs told reporters.

There's no such thing as "moderate" Islam. You are either Shia, or Sunni, or you live in the Indonesian archipelago ~ which is a special case.

At the same time everybody in Afghanistan is Moslem ~ officially.

All your neighbors believe you're Moslem anyway.

Then, when you get to America you start planting family ashes in a stone circle in the front yard, painting eyeballs on the eve of the home facing the street, or posting a mezuzah (Hebrew: מְזוּזָה‎ "doorpost") on the doorpost at the front of your house.

Best one I've seen is really Ice Age ~ you mark the bounds of your property with stones at the corners, and make sure you mark the entry with two special stones. There are people of European descent who also do that ~ these are NOT fences.

Nestorian Christianity blew through Afghanistan once, as did Zen Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism. Judaism also passed up and down the Silk Road for centuries.

Afghans have all agreed to claim they are Moslems so no one questions them regarding whatever else they do.

The Taliban are not part of the deal and that makes them particularly dangerous.

Don't count on some Afghan member of parliament not being part of the Obama regime.

The corruption in that country is endemic and extends into every part of life ~ it's not just a handful of irregular contracts here and there. Telling Karzai to clean up the corruption is a declaration of war against that culture and it's biological survival.

Just the way it is.

Obama knows these things, and some day we will have a government willing to direct Chicago to clean up its act, and the response will be the same ~ and we'll simply have to nuke Chicago!

Karzai seemed to be doing a good job before Barry and Hillary Clinton started constantly undermining him. Barry is alienating leaders all around the world.

Oaf-bama and Co. have been on a relentless campaign to depose Karzai and install their preference, an actual puppet not a duly-elected sovereign leader. Let's not cooperate with the democraps, okay?

White House troubled by Karzai remarks

Here's the real scoop:

"Obama visited Karzai in Kabul last week during his first visit to Afghanistan since he took office 15 months ago. Days later, Karzai accused foreigners of perpetrating election fraud, bribing officials and trying to weaken his government, prompting Washington to ask him for clarification about his comments."

Hey, if you take on the Kucinich/Paul doctrine, you deserve ridicule. How about YOU face reality for a bit. Did you know these funny things about the muslim world?

Iran was a good US Ally from shortly after WWII to 1979 when head in sand Carter allowed the overthrow to radicals?

That more Al Qaeda have been killed in Iraq to date than in any other place on earth?

Iran had to cheat in the last elections to re-elect anti-western Ahmadinajad.

Lebanon re-elected the pro-west coalition last summer.

That pro-American Ayad Allawi’s secular party did very well in the recent Iraqi elections.

That Jordanian spies were largely responsible for helping us find and kill Zarquawi.

Turkey helped protect jews during WWII. And also belatedly joined the allies.

Bahrain and Oman fought with the Allies in WWII.

The Saudis, though neutral in WWII, actually helped the Allies with oil and let us build airfields.

So it does no one any good to pretend all muslims are the same - radical islamists against the west - they aren’t.

Try dealing in today.

Iran is no ally.

When it comes to Lebanon, the Hezbollah party actually picked up one seat from the year before, and moved closer to your anti-Israel pro-Western Party.

Turkey is CLEARY heading in the wrong direction, as an Islamic party has won the last two elections. Once again try dealing in today.

WW II, is NOT today is it?

If you think that the Saudis are our friend...lol!

They are the biggest back stabbers in the worl, and are opening Mosques of hate across the West.

Your fantasy of trying to seperate the “good” Muslims from the bad does no good. As after 1400 years it is a proven failure. The Islamic world must be opposed.
