Why target Starbucks? That is a bit odd. Perhaps the treehuggers thought Starbucks would be weak prey?

Note to starbucks, conservatives have jobs and therefore more disposable income. By ignoring these idiots they are only losing a small percentage of business to the loony left fringe.

Why target Starbucks?

Cause Starbucks used to be the coolest of the cool. With the marketing problems that they have, they have found a new method of advertising as well as a new market for their coffee.

I also suspect that no one in that organization has forgotten the three baristas who were executed in DC a few years ago.

I have bought coffee from Starbucks lately solely due to their stand on gun rights and will continue to do so.

Looks like all this does is tell gun-toting criminals where it’s safe to go ‘shopping’.

Some peaceful civil rights “lunch counter sit-ins” like were popular in the 60’s might be effective here. These companies hate negative publicity.

Tom Mauser, a gun control advocate

I wonder if Tom knows how ironic it is to have his surname associated with gun control?

You should probably re-write that mess so that people can tell what you’re talking about.

Among The protesters, Marilee Posavec, a member of the local Communist party chapter an avowed Marxist who is president of the local chapter of Million Mom March and Brady Campaign, which fights to outlaw the 2nd amendment and force Americans everywhere to be unarmed and defenseless. Mary Kershner is a nurse who also opposes the 2nd amendment Had this to say:"I used to hold a lot of meetings at Starbucks, but the idea that I might be at risk worries me. I will choose a gun-free place,"...

How about Cuba, Marilee? We'll even help you pack your bags.

And probably no NET loss at all. Conservatives value people who stand up for freedom and principle and I've heard any number of them (some of whom don't even like Starbucks coffee) planning to go in and buy something as a show of thanks and support since they took this stand.

Starbucks knows who has money to spend. Hint: it is not the liberal whinnies.

Every FReeper and conservative should print out a small slip of paper that says something like “Starbucks is making this sale solely because they have supported the legitimate rights of citizens to patronize this establishment while armed. This purchase may be small, but it is only one of many that Starbucks will have as long as they support legal firearms rights. — Sincerely, a PAYING customer” and give one to the barista when paying for the sale. And maybe write down the amount of the sale on it.

If little pieces of paper like this started accumulating at all the Starbucks throughout the country, it would be hard evidence of the monetary gain their stand has brought them. Or the monetary loss they would incur if they banned firearms.

No big protests or obnoxious, in your face demonstrations, just thousands or millions of these little slips of paper. Starbucks, after all, is a business. If they are literally shown what they would lose if they bowed to the gun grabbers, they will side with the money.

However, without some hard evidence that those sales are in support of their gun rights stance, they won’t see it. It wouldn’t cost any FReepers anything to print out a sheet of these, cut them up and carry them in a pocket. Millions doing it nationwide would make a major difference.

While it wouldn’t require any special design, maybe some artistic FReeper could come up with something that would print out multiple ones on a standard sheet of paper, that could be cut up to something like business card size. Let’s give ‘em hard evidence that they can hold in their liberal little hands and see the amount of money they could be putting at risk. Being silent while patronizing them does nothing. It’s all lumped in with the liberals’ dollars.
