Ed Rendell on FNC just said he could hold a rally to increase federal legislation to protect puppies & draw at least 100,000.
He's trying to downplay the size of the turnout at the Tea Party events, calling it "pathetic" & pointing out there is no "leadership" & no "infrastructure." (Eddie's not clear on the concept).
Amazing.
One wonders what all the hysteria on the left has been about if the Tax Day rally only drew a couple of "hundred" people.
He actually did use the anti war rallies for comparison—to hear him tell it, millions of patriotic citizens showed up to those as compared to a couple of hundred armed guerillas show up for Tea Parties.
They’re only funny when they don’t have any power.
“pointing out there is no “leadership” & no “infrastructure”
That’s what they call “grassroots”, Ed.
A pathetic “pathetic” -— lol. The DNC talking-point labels of “racists” and “terrorists” are backfiring......
From Mark Steyn:
....in terms of the electoral map this November, youve only got to scare a relatively small percentage of squishy, suburban moderate centrists back into the Democratic fold, and how difficult can that be?
Hence, Bill Clinton energetically on the stump, summoning all his elder statesmans dignity (please, no giggling) in the cause of comparing tea partiers to Timothy McVeigh. Oh, cmon, theyve got everything in common. They both want to reduce the size of government, the late Mr. McVeigh through the use of fertilizer bombs, the tea partiers through control of federal spending, but these are mere nuanced differences of means, not ends.
(snip)
For a long time, tea partiers were racists. Everybody knows that when you say Im becoming very concerned about unsustainable levels of federal spending, thats old Jim Crow code for Lets get up a lynching party and teach that uppity Negro a lesson.

The worst thing that could happen to the Tea Party movement is to develop a leadership structure where everyone in the movement is taking marching orders from one central person.
That’s Fast Eddie for you.
Democrats are whistling past the graveyard of history.
Yes please ignore us but we will remember you in November.
Tell the Gov to go back to sleep. Nothing to see here. He will be in as much shock and in need of shock therapy as the rest of the Dems.
AND, where the leadership is subject to be Alinski'd by the state media.
So, the media has given Sarah Palin the title of de facto leader of the Tea Party movement. So when they're attacking Sarah Palin, they're attacking all Americans who are fed up with big government.
This man is the worst example of a politician. He will go down in the history of PA as the Governor of the lobbyists, particulary the unions. What a slimey, double talking slug!
Rendell is attempting to convince himself and his interests that there is no tidal wave about to crush him and the interests of the status quo.
GOOD BYE DIRT BAG!!
Rendell calls the Tea party movement....”pathetic” & points out there is no “leadership” & no “infrastructure”
Kinda like Pennsylvania has been under that fat, corrupt sack of $hit’s reign....
Eddie that is the beauty of the tea party movement, we don’t need any crooked leaders such as yourself to lead us as we are perfectly able to think for ourselves.
Thanks for the link-Steyn is nearly always great-(I’ve been reading him since the mid 90s when I did some work in Canada and he was writing for the National Post)but this might be one of his very best.
Every word is true and I especially love him rubbing the libscum’s cowardly faces in the cold hard facts.
PLEASE FORWARD these links to anyone who has been lied to by the media and politicians about the Tea Party Movement, which of course is everybody.
The True Face of the Tea Partiers
“this might be one of his very best.”
thought so also; I posted this column earlier today as a thread here (just because his wit is so withering):
Not Too ‘Hip’ and ‘Edgy’ for Censorship (or, “Please. Behead me last.”)

The reason the crowds are small Ed, they all have jobs and can’t come flooding to demonstrations like your supporters who have no jobs and live on the largesse of hard working Americans.
In other words..."How can we know who to shake down?"
The final head count came in a few days ago for our little Palm Desert Tea Party— 4500.
Here’s a pic of the dangerous extremists in their lawn chairs (I dunno how to post a pic here):
