Senate Dems plan: National ID Card or Mark of the Beast?

The ACLU, Conservatives and Christians oppose Democrat proposal of National ID card with biometric data as requirement for getting work.

It isn’t often that the ACLU, The Rutherford Institute, The Huffington Post and Evangelical Christians all agree on anything, but a new proposal from the Senate to require everyone in America to carry a National ID card inclusive of all your biometric information as a condition of employment is both Orwellian and Biblical in nature and is creating some strange bedfellows.

The ID card program is called “Believe,” which on its face seems ironic since those of us who do “believe” may recognize this program as a potential forerunner to the “mark of the Beast” from Revelation 13. However, according to the Senate Dems, “Believe” is an acronym for Biometric Enrollment, Locally-stored Information and Electronic Verification of Employment.

The new National ID is being proposed as part of Immigration Reform. Since the card would carry identification and biometric data, it would require the federal government to collect fingerprints from all Americans. ...

Of course the National ID is not the mark of the Beast.

The Social Security Card is.

No, wait...the Credit Card is.

No, wait...

Encoding information in your hand and head has already happened. Your memory, and the ID card you hold in your hand. Sorry, if the Mark was to be refused, you missed the opportunity. Or maybe it speaks of a “spritual Mark”.

How many ways do they need to track us? We already have Social Security numbers (with a card), Driver’s license numbers (with a card), Yearly tax returns, etc, etc,.
What makes them think this new thing can’t be copied or cheated in some way?

The idea of a national card is bad enough but there are folks who are promulgating the notion of a chip inserted under the skin. The commercial ads are on the web and they have been on TV.

Let’s just take the religious aspect out of this discussion for a moment and simply consider the notions as to what such a system does to our liberties and to our own self concepts as rational human beings. To be chipped like a dog or cow? The book of Revelation aside, the very concept turns my patriotic red white and blue stomach. The book of Revelation says that taking of the Mark of the beast has spiritual connotations. It symbolizes the rejection of God and the worship of Satan. Still interpretations may differ and I personally think it will be an out and out branding, with or without a chip!

Now it may be argued that this card or chip system is purely an economic/ political ID access system created for purely secular purposes for the protection of “true citizens”; that its application will be politically neutral and won’t be used to force folks to give up their personal religious beliefs or practises. But my friends, it forces you to give up your privacy and the party that today is benign in monitoring this “ economic access” system may not be so benign tomorrow.

Why do you think the creators of these systems are using such terms such as “digital angel” or “believe”? They seek to subvert the consciences of the American people into accepting these liberty robbing systems. There again, if you doubt that one could make an accurate tie in between the book of Revelation and these “access systems”, one could at least remember historical examples of societies that required proof of identity on demand, on pain of jailing or worse!

So the choice comes down to being men or being cows with the threat of instantly being economically culled if the monitors from afar don’t like you!

This is the first time I've head of a National ID card proposal linked tothe term "Believe".

Is it certain the good folks at Cypress Press aren't confusing the National ID proposal with Baltimore's stupid epic failure known as Believe?

Note, that report is a PDF file and is rather old. I just provided it as a reference to what I'm talking about. In fact, what caught my attention from this post was the use of the word "Believe" in conjunction with the National ID proposal.

Anyone living near Baltimore has, I'm sure, seen those stupid black and white bumper stickers that simply say "Believe".

I think it is really a mark or brand, with a man’s name encoded somehow mathematically meaning 666(or 606...some quibble that the translation was wrong). Something visible that can be seen for crowd control purposes or quickly spotting who was or wasn’t from a mixed crowd of folks. This is not to say that some chip might not be involved as well
