I think the message is (1)that the Republicans think they can win in November whether they have the support of the Teapartiers or not; (2) that if they do win, they will accept most of what Obama has advanced and (3) that they do not expect/want to win in 2012 and expect to succeed Obama in 2017 with one of their own kind. They are appalled by the idea of being dragged to the right.
