What possesses a 22 year old fella to beat an elderly man for driving too slow? I don't know. Maybe the same thing that made the same Brandon Poulson throw a dead cat through a McDonald's drive through window. It is totally unacceptable and on a lot of levels may well be a huge red flag to the justice department. How many times have we read stories about people who hurt animals and progress up the chain to hurting people?

You’ve got that right. It’s not just the schools, either. The media is constantly giving kids the same message, and that mindset is taking hold everywhere.
Even the youth pastor at our former church would constantly dismiss the concerns of older people... “Well, they’re old, they just don’t get it today.”
I’m sure this 22 year old has no remorse because he truly believes that this elderly man serves no purpose—a logical conclusion for one with an evolutionary/communist worldview.

One can’t be to careful now a day.
Slow drivers can be dangerous but it is not the younger driver's place to take his frustration out on the offender. As the punch line to the old joke goes, "Patience, Little Jackass".
We always drive with all the doors locked and leave escape room between us and the car in front of us. I would never get out of the car to discuss the situation. We all have cell phones to call police that also have cameras, not to mention weapons for self defense.

Nope. If you shoot, the situation must justify a lethal shot. If a lethal shot if justified, take it.

I have one of those big flashlights (that I swear I need a ccw for) between the front seats. Never needed it but you never know.
There’s an old, mostly forgotten truism: “Women are the civilizers of society (men.) I’m 62. Funny the stuff that sticks in a kids head, but I remember being very young, and frequently hearing, “They are staying together for the children.”
Well, we’ve denigrated marriage, motherhood, and homemakers. We warehouse our kids in day care and pre-school, and such. No one was there to make those children human. They have no accumulated truisms to guide them, and no examples of parents who toughed out the hard times. Those poor souls have come of age and they are dangerous.
There are too many examples to list, even in my unremarkable existence.
Someone recently posted that a can of wasp spray is a great defense, better than pepper spray!
I’d splurge and put a few rounds each into his knees.
Don’t use to much you don’t want them to pass out that way the pain last longer.
