The students act as if they are not Mexican Americans, but Mexicans living in what is temporarily America. They were taught that immigrants need not adapt to their new nation, but the nation must adapt to them. This reverses the philosophy of the public schools, which for over a century successfully Americanized the children of immigrants. But no more.
Demonstrators carried signs saying, “SI SE PUEDE” which they believed means “Yes we can.” But that would be “SÍ SE PUEDE,” with the accent over the “i.” Without the accent, it means “If we can.” Maybe they could if they were literate in at least one language. But with bilingual education, that may be too much to ask.

May 5 should always be remembered as the day the United States along with other nations delivered liberty and freed the world of tyrant by forcing it to lay down its arms.
Actually, I feel disrespected anyone would suggest I should not fly the U.S. flag on May 5.

We should make EVERY Wednesday flaunt the flag day.
As Fourth of July gets closer, Walmart always puts out racks and racks of various flag t-shirts — usually around $3.00 each. Stock up for the whole family this year and keep the flag out there at every opportunity.

Sending a child into the government schools is child abuse.
The author is giving far too much credit to the government schools. It was the **PARENTS** of these immigrant kids who sent their kids to school said, "LEARN ENGLISH! LEARN TO BE AMERICAN!"
What did socialist-funded, socialist-modeled, single payer government schools do for earlier immigrants? Answer: They taught them to be good little socialists who thought it was just great to have: the IRS, confiscation of vast swaths of land for federal parks without compensation, Woodrow Wilson, the federal reserve, unions, feminism, the "One World" League of Nations, Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal, The "One World" U.N., Johnson's Great Society, and the abolishment of the gold standard.( just to list a few outrages.)
If children attend socialist government schools they will learn to be comfortable with socialism! They learn that the government can take money from their neighbor to pay for a service that their parents ( immigrant or not) want for tuition-free. Do that for 13 years and the child learns if the government can take money by threat of force for schooling, why not a thousand other wants and needs?
We are trying so hard not to produce super-patriots that we are producing too few ordinary patriots. We saw the danger of chauvinism in Nazism, and we see it now in radical Islam. But if one extreme is bad, this does not mean that the opposite extreme is good. Too much water can cause drowning, but lack of water can also be fatal.

The rotting elephant in the living room is DEMORALIZATION! The Marxists that have near complete control of government schooling and every other cultural institution in America are DEMORALIZING our children! They are doing it so that they will not be able to think clearly even when the black and white evidence is standing right before them!
So?...Conservatives, what the plan? Where is the rational long term plan to RE-moralize our nation?
Unless conservatives combat demoralization with remoralization our nation is lost! Part of that plan absolutely must include abolishing all government schools and finding a way to get our nation's children into private conservative schools!

Socialism **always** moves in the direction of atheism!! The very first day that government schools opened in the mid-1800s, children were already being fed a generic and lukewarm Protestantism that could be tolerated by the majority. ( We know what Christ thinks about being lukewarm!) And..We should not be surprised that by the 1940s , 1950s, and 1960s children in our socialist government schools were subjected to a thoroughly godless curriculum with a sprinkle of prayer during homeroom!
Decades of training children to think godlessly in our socialist government schools made OBAMA INEVITABLE!!!
If our nation is ever to succeed in overcoming godless Marxism or Islam they must be educated in schools that **thoroughly** integrate their families Judeo-Christian values into the woof and weave of every subject and every school policy. This can **only** be accomplished in **private** schools!

No, I say a number of old things which I believe are important, but which are being forgotten. I thought that is what “conservative” means.
