how the hell can tose vets stand there and support him and he even has the balls to stand there in a VFW of which he is not one.

I served in Vietnam. I distinctly recall going there and coming back, together with a number of things that happened along the way. I can’t imagine getting it mixed up with pulling KP at Ft. Bragg. Just sayin’.

Blumenthal is NOT a member of the VFW
Headquarters is as upset as the rest of us.
The woman did not know if there was going to be an official VFW response.
While I was in Vietnam, when I came back from Vietnam is not 'misspeaking'! I think one would remember if they were in Vietnam!

Don’t they realize what an insult it is to those who have served and in combat.
I mean the guy was in the Marine Reserves. That is a very honorable place to serve.

It was suprising that this jerk was able to use actual Nam vets to back him up and to do it within the confines of a Veterans of Foreign Wars post.

Someone wrote the speech and he delivered it. He knew damn well what he was saying at the time!
