Grand Rants ^ | 05-21-10 | Stoutcat

t’s hear it for Congressman Tom McClintock (R-CA) for his stirring rebuttal to Mexican President Calderon’s shameless (and shameful) address to Congress yesterday. This made me want to stand up and shout “Hurray!”

[must-see video of McClintock delivering the smack-down to Calderon, and Congressional Dems]

“In the first place we should insist that the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equity with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace or origin. But this is predicated upon the man’s becoming an American and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any flag of a nation to which we are hostile. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.” Theodore Roosevelt

That will leave a mark.

I wonder if there is footage of the members who stood up and clapped that could be used in the campaign this fall?

Specifically Mr Carnahan, Skelton, and any other congress critters from Missouri?

Sooooooo, why did Tom McClintock wait until the whole chamber was vacated to speak up? Nice posturization, but the people who needed to hear it, weren’t there.

The sick thing is, not one person in that chamber had the kahonas to call the idiot Calderon out. I mean, c’mon, Calderon could barely get the words out because he didn’t formulate those words in his own head, it was written by Axelfraud. He couldn’t possibly have even understood what he was saying...could he? If he did, he’s an absolutely liar as corrupt as the Ayatollah Obama/Axelfraud cadre of commies.

The least our representatives could have done was just respectfully WALKED OUT quietly upon Calderon’s/Axelfraud’s stupid spewing.

Walked out, booed or call him a liar would all have been acceptable.

"While all those asshat democrats were clapping all the Republicans should have been booing!" Booing? HELL THE PLACE SHOULD HAVE TURNED INTO TAIWAN PARLIAMENT!

The whole Congress is a buch of weak knee whiny-boys! DAMN! Brewer/Bachmann/Palin have more testostrone between them then all the male Republicans in the Congress! What a bunch of shamefully poor examples of manhood we have in Washington!

I think Republicans should propose an immigration law exactly like Mexico’s. Not only is it a good law but it would be great watching the Democrats opposing it and explaining their positions.

I will suggest it to my Representative and my Senators and I recommend all Freepers do the same.

A congressman shouldn’t have had to dress down Mexico’s President. Our Boy president should have done that. But he’s as anti-American as that Mexican Parasite that made those comments.

Let him stay in his own damn country and clean up his mess instead of blaming the United States of America.
