Just came across this hit job on FR on Salon from 10 days ago. Has anyone seen this ? I searched here but couldn't find anything. Apparently some lib, probably the author himself, created a bogus account on FR advertising underage porn and then used that to create a story. Link below.

I’ve been here quite awhile and can honestly say that I haven’t seen any purges of Romney and Giuliani supporters. Where is the evidence of this happening? The author made this up. As far as being able to create a profile which promotes porn, well, it’s ridiculously easy to create a profile here and I’m certain that some things slip past the moderators.

a.) toilet bowl scum usually have no assets making a lawsuit impractical.

b.) consider that if Salon ever held a 'Salon-A-Thon' to try and stay in business (instead of sucking on the teat of George Soros), they would have gone the way of a 300 baud acoustic modem MANY moons ago.

I remember it well (cue voice of Maurice Chevalier lol), and as one of the participants there for damn near the entire event, I would add that the "Bug Zapper Thread"(c) was not necessarily a 'purge' of RudyBots, it was a thread started by JimRob which would ultimately generate 18,449 posts, Jim's comments are well worth re-reading ANY day:

And I emphasize that when the RudyBots descended upon that thread screaming murder most foul regarding the truth spoken about Rudy-Tooty, they blatantly did everything under the sun to provoke zotting, they begged in some cases to be banned, they insulted Jim and other real conservatives, they slandered Ronald Reagan, they did everything except climb into their monitors and moon the Mods on that thread. At one point former FReeper MadIvan created a website 'WideAwakes' (which would eventually collapse due to technical server issues that Ivan was apparently ill-equipped to deal with), where the RudyBots would gather, wail, scream and gnash their teeth, and conspire to go into FR and do thus-and-so to provoke their own banning/suspension.

Being the fair minded kinda guy Jim is, he indulged them.

The RudyBots and their ilk were far from 'purged', it was more of a mass suicide, and FR is better and stronger as a result.
