The always excellent Herman Cain spoke at a Douglas County, Georgia Tea Party and called on "Lewis" who pointed out that we should know and sing the second verse [actually the fourth verse, I think] of the Star Spangle Banner. Then he sang it beautifully, a cappella. In the video below, watch the crowd.

I saw this earlier, amazing! He’s what the Tea Parties are all about - we are proud to be Americans and we are ready to do battle to be Americans.

What kind of a gathering is this? That crowd looks like normal, healthy people. I didn’t see a single belly button piecing or tattoo covered body. I didn’t see any bottles thrown at police, in fact it seems a police presence is not even necessary. I didn’t see obscenities and vulgarities on signs and t-shirts. Just regular folks, rising to their feet as they realized it was the National Anthem being sung, taking off their hats, putting their hands over their hearts quietly and peacefully and respectfully. Someone send this film to Obama and show him how it’s done. Poor guy never learned this proper behavior in Kenya and is still practicing his crotch salute.

Oh, I think there is hope. We have to stay vigilant and awake. No more sleeping at the wheel. No more assuming that once we have sent someone to Washington, that they need no more supervision or oversite.
