Obama Blames Tea Partiers for Oil Spill

Obama ignores the fact that his Administration failed in their oversight duties of BP!

Day 54!

Photobucket

In a Politico interview Friday, Obama blamed members of congress "who will not be named" that might have resisted calls for stronger regulation of oil companies. Not that Obama had any intention of introducing stronger regulations. This is another pathetic attempt by Obama to place blame for his failures and those of his Administration.

Obama also blamed the Tea Partiers. Redstate has the full story, but here's the essential quote:

“Some of the same folks who have been hollering and saying ‘do something’ are the same folks who, just two or three months ago, were suggesting that government needs to stop doing so much,” Obama said. “Some of the same people who are saying the president needs to show leadership and solve this problem are some of the same folks who, just a few months ago, were saying this guy is trying to engineer a takeover of our society through the federal government that is going to restrict our freedoms.”

As usual, Obama has it backwards. The problem with BP isn't that we didn't have enough federal regulations, it's that HIS Administration didn't do the oversight function they are REQUIRED to do. (See here, here, here and here)

I doubt there is ONE Tea Partier who would oppose appropriate federal oversight of offshore oil drilling. This disaster and disdain for Obama's lame response has nothing to do with Tea Party concerns over Obama's efforts to "restrict our freedom's."

I am increasingly convinced that this bogus administration has not simply been incompetent. I believe they have had malicious intent in the mismanagement of the spill aftermath. They were offered technology and resources from domestic sources as well as international offers. But all were refused due to either arrogance or stupidity.

But that they have not done anything to contain this spill is beyond doubt. And it fits fully in to the liberals’ efforts to not waste a crisis.

I think Obama is letting it gush to get cap and tax passed. He is a danger to our nation.

Clean Water Act

§311(c)(2) The President shall direct all Federal, State, and private actions to remove a discharge or mitigate or prevent the threat of a discharge from onshore or offshore facilities which is determined to be a substantial threat to the public health or welfare of the United States.

Each Area Committee will submit this plan to the President for approval.

It is gross dereliction of duty, willful negligence.

Is there any environmental attorney’s out there willing to go after this? From the NCP to the CWA the President is responsible.

Dear zerO

There’s a difference between leading and nationalizing an entire industy.

It’s the difference between George Washington and Hugo Chavez.

You might have heard of the latter. I encourage you to read up on the former.

This is more surreal than a Dali painting and a Fellini movie combined.

The dirty little secret is that Obama's ALLOWING this oil gush to keep gushing, in order to stage passage of Cap & Trade and other further restrictive regulations on traditional forms of energy which we rely upon to keep this country running. He's almost killed private enterprise and market growth, but that won't be complete without traditional energy kill. I didn't want to believe this early on, but when a coal mine explodes, then an oil rig explodes, just after passage of Obamacare, what was next on the agenda of Marxists becomes quite clear. This is SINISTER, pure and simple. How else can one explain this adminstration's thwarting of remedies so quickly offered-up early in this disaster? The EPA and environmental groups wouldn't allow burn-off of the oil because that would be too damaging to our environment. As if a sea full of oil isn't worse? IMPEACH OBAMA NOW, and hold the liberal powerbrokers in Congress criminally negligent NOW.

For anyone who believes that Obama wouldn't dare intentionally thrwart clean-up efforts as this would damage his Presidency and his party, think again. Obamacare was hugely unpopular along with his stance on illegal immigration, now this. The future of a political party is not in play here, whatsoever. The lightspeed DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA IS, for if they succeed political parties WON'T MATTER.
