Sarah Palin: Restoring Honor Rally and Charity Auction with Glenn Beck
Sarah Palin Facebook Notes ^ | June 16, 2010 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 06/16/2010 10:43:11 AM PDT by Virginia Ridgerunner

I am so excited about the upcoming Restoring Honor rally with Glenn Beck on August 28th in Washington, D.C., right on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Glenn and I will be speaking at the rally, and I hope you’ll be able to join us. You can visit the Restoring Honor Facebook page here for all updates.

You can also help us raise funds for some amazing true American heroes by joining me and Glenn for breakfast on August 28th before the rally. Visit this website to bid on a fun morning with both of us, and remember all proceeds from this auction go to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a non-profit charity serving the children of our fallen heroes.

Bid on the auction! Come with an appetite! And see you in D.C.!

Well this is certainly interesting...

Anybody got the $$$$ with which to win a private breakfast with Sarah and Glenn?

That would the ultimate dream come true for this young conservative - but even 3 weeks ago the bid was way too high (I’m just gonna donate to the cause via a check that I can afford). 1 day maybe I can meet them both! :)

I'm looking forward to the day when we restore America's honor - on January 20, 2013.

I expect to see the first fully worthy successor to the position since Ronald Reagan. My question: How many people will count her as #44?

1. George Washington
. . .
37. Richard M. Nixon
38. Gerald R. Ford
39. James E. Carter
40. Ronald Reagan
41. George H. W. Bush
42. William J. Clinton
43. George W. Bush
44. Sarah H. Palin

I see no reason to stick the usurper's name in that sequence, but I'm okay with a mention on the list of former US Senators from Illinois.

Problem is that you have a history of showing up on positive Palin threads and trying to throw cold water on the good news. Methinks you have an agenda here...

Perhaps bub, BUT your curious habit of leaving snarky comments on many if not all of the Palin threads suggest that you are probably secretly cheering for someone else, whether you want to admit it or not.

Otherwise, why do you feel the compulsive need to do what you do?

Not banned. Just an old SN from usenet days I wanted to change to be more inline with the purpose of the forum. I can still login under it, it’s still an active account, even though I haven’t done so in almost ten years.

And yes, for asking a question; for being a snarky SOB asking a question any sane person should know is not necessary to ask of a mother who’s first born son has volunteered to don the nation’s uniform and be sent into harms way. A son who now serves under the most incompetent, inept, criminally corrupt CiC our nation has ever seen; One who can relate to the very real fear of having an Army/Navy/Marine/AirForce officer show up at your door to tell you your son isn’t coming home ever again.

Give it a rest HG.

Yeah.

Huckabee? Evangelistic moralistic prick. Babbles unintelligably.

Romney? I'm a bigot. Make fun of his underpants and his socialism.

Paul? Lord, he's a loon. A truther loon. A geek truther loon.

So.. who an I secretly cheering for? None of these folks has declared a candidacy, by the way.

I'll tell you: None of the above.

I just don't subscribe to the view of Palin as some kind of savior.

I see. Well thank you, and your son, for your sons service. (and I mean that!)

BTW: Have you taken even 1/16th the shots Gov. Palin has taken?

I suspect not. What are you doing, that makes any kind of real difference, in taking the fight to the Pretender in Chief?

If you had the pull, could bring in the big bucks, would you freely offer up your time to honor and support your sons fallen brethren and their families?

I suspect that big bucks or not, I would like to think anyway, that you would do what you could as well. So why don’t you leave the snarky political commentary aside for a moment, and let the Governor do what she can for our men and women in uniform.

Is that really too much to ask?

Yeah, I have a problem with it when someone who supposedly does not support anyone keeps showing up on Palin threads and throws peanuts at her for the express pupose of trying to tear her down.

Here she is---teaming up with Glenn Beck for a worthy cause, and all you can do is question her motives when her motives of supporting the troops are crystal clear and have been from day one.

Yeah, I have a big problem with it.

Thank you kindly. Mike enjoys it in the Army.

Have you taken even 1/16th the shots Gov. Palin has taken?

Why should I? I don't put myself out there as a savior or as being better than anyone.

What are you doing, that makes any kind of real difference, in taking the fight to the Pretender in Chief?

Well, I'm not banking off books or collecting massive speaking fees. Guess I just suck.

If you had the pull, could bring in the big bucks, would you freely offer up your time to honor and support your sons fallen brethren and their families?

Probably. But I wouldn't have my publicist involved nor would I use it to advance my "fame".

let the Governor do what she can

When you quit the job you swore to do, you really don't get to keep the title.

Question: Do you, or not, believe that even if Mrs Palin knew about this thread, she would care in the least?
I also find it amazing that some people choose to act as if they're best friends with, and in the confidence of, Mrs Palin.

If only “positive” commenting posters showed up on these threads, the thread would die at about 30 or so posts. Too many good stories or articles die because they aren’t bumped along. Be thankful for all posts. Besides, it is real easy to ignore posts that upset or bore you.

Be thankful for all posts.

Trouble is that there are several groups with agendas here at FR who do not post on Palin threads in good faith but instead seek to vandalize and disrupt them.

Among these groups are the Romneyites, the Paulbots, the One Percenters, professional GOP political operatives, and liberal trolls.

We've been posting Palin threads for almost two years now, and have seen it all, so much so that we know exactly who her attackers are and why they do what they do.

I read the Palin threads and see what happens. I believe if Palin’s supporters ignored most of the negative posts, especially those that repeat the same argument from thread to thread, the attackers would give up.

I’ve also seen some Palin supporters ping the antis to the threads. Seems to me, some on both sides are spoiling for a fight. I like Sarah Palin but tire of the same-old same-old on every thread.

They absolutely are against Sarah Palin. They want to take her down any way they can. I think they hate her more than they do Obama.

se_oyc,

upsdriver is right.

THe obnoxious poster upthread isn’t interested in discussion.

He, like many of the other threads like to tweak the noses of Sarah supporters and probably gets a big thrill out of it given the nature of his posts. Ignore him, he, and others like him add nothing to the conversation.

THeir positions are untenable, they lack depth and support in either logic or facts, and they always run to the most negative connotation possible which should tell you they probably really aren’t really sincere people.

He, like the others, have a perverse need to tick people off, primarily because they choose to believe the lie that we are some sort of cultists or we are “worshipping” Governor Palin.

What’s funny, is that given the way things are going, they will be referring to her as Madame President in 2012.

You forgot one more alternative—that you’re a leftist who’s been pretending the whole time to be a conservative.

But this is ridiculous. Of course you’re not a leftist.

Why would a leftist pretend to be a conservative on a forum like this, only to hack away incessantly (over the years) at two or three target items like Palin and I don’t know, say...Limbaugh.

But fortunately for you, you’re not a leftist in disguise (a useful idiot).

Seriously. The current resident of our White House has hidden almost his entire past. No birth certificate. No college records. No accomplishments that could possibly qualify him for the position that he now occupies. Multiple mainstream news sites have edited earlier stories on him to in their words "correct errors" such as whether he was born in this country. While I think it's more likely than not that he was in fact born here, this is a legitimate question, and if Obama wanted anything but the worst for America he would open up all his records to put an end to the distraction. Nope, I have absolutely no respect for someone that secretive, even ignoring the fact that he is a socialist who is trying to destroy capitalism and our Constitution.

I thought Clinton was a disgusting sleaze (Nixon too), but Obama is in a completely different class in that respect. This has nothing to do with "petty-minded" and everything to do with patriotism. My questions about Obama go beyond ordinary politics.
