Its in the Declaration of of Independence. But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing the same Object, invince a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism

Unfortunately 45% of the people of this Despotism are on that Train -- the Gravy Train -- and they love the salaries, benefits, retirement, payoffs, payouts, dispersals, grants, bribes and extortions coming from the operators of this Train of Abuses and Usurpations. They don't want it to stop.

The other 55% are being run over by it. They are fuel for it. They are the ones who are compelled to pay the bills for this Train.

There is a Day of Reckoning coming --

The Declaration of Independence predates the Constitution. It has nothing to do with defining and establishing our current form of government.

If one wants to posit that our current form of government has become tyrannical and that the sentiments of the Declaration of Independence should be transferred from the historical foreign government to which it was directed to our current government, by definition one is disowning the Constitution, exactly as we disowned our Colonial status. History indicates very clearly that you can't revolt against your established government to preserve it. Violence changes things; for better or worse, you always wind up with something different.

“Whether or not his acts of betrayal of our country to our enemies are grounds to try him for treason, I believe, he is guilty of, none the less, betraying this country. And it is intentional. I am convinced he intends to place us in servitude to foreign powers and interests permainently.”

I'll just have to be honest with you on this one—I think that is rank hysteria. I think it is simply a refusal to face the fact that when the party you don't agree with wins an election, they are likely to implement some policies you don't agree with. Elevating that to treason simply insures that no one will treat your legitimate concerns as serious.

Not rank hysteria, very strong anger at blatent dissregard for the Constitution, oath of office and public trust.

He is a criminal poser who will ultimately be punished. The issue is the damage that he is allow to do before that happens.

Surely you can see this.

By the way, I am also old, but not that tired. And I am still defiant of opression. Suppose that is a Texas thing.

I can appreciate that if someone believes Obama is not legally qualified to the office that this would make them angry. The problem is, to the extent I am aware, there is no actual evidence to credibly substantiate that charge in a court of law. Absent said evidence, Obama legally is the President.

Obama does have a philosophical outlook I disagree with. But that's going to happen from time to time as long as we have elections. This country has survived bad Presidents before, and I believe we can survive this one.
