Cancer vs Jesus

By Wesley Wilson, Age 12

Let's face it. We all hate cancer. But when you read John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth and the life," that gives us something to think about.

Jesus' way is the only way. You won't be misled.

Jesus' truth is the only truth you can always depend on in good times and bad.

And the most important, The Life is the only thing we live for. Some people say there's no cure for cancer. Jesus is the only cure for cancer.

And that's the truth.

Editor's Note: Wesley is my son, and he's writing this about his daddy who has gone to at-home hospice this week.

I wasn't talking about cancer in my answer, I was responding to what you said in that particular post. And if you googled that phrase, and read the theology about it, it would have taken you much longer. But since you mention cancer, and say how can it be fortunate?...all is gift, good, bad, sickness, suffering, happiness, contentment. God has a reason for allowing the things He allows to happen. And no, He doesn't explain everything because we're too stupid. Who is like unto God?

“What about non-Christians? Why does God create them? He knows what their choices are going to be. He even knows that they will be non-Christian, before He creates them.”

As it is written, “Jacob have I loved, but Esau I have hated.”

What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! For He says to Moses:

“I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.”

So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.

For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.”

Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom he wills He hardens.

You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?”

But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?”

Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?

(All of the above except your question is Romans 9:13-21)

Try rereading the Bible. Pay particular attention to the parts that talk about that “fall of creation through man’s rebellion” thingy.

Doesn’t He know, prior to creating them, what they will do in life?

Yes Stuart. God knew before the dawn of time that you would be exceptionally annoying. Still he let you live. The most likely reason for this is he wanted FReepers to grow in patience.

Yes I read about the ‘fortunate fall’. If no one is like unto God, then how can you know that all is a gift?

Was all that an answer?

Be fully aware of the fact that no matter how you row, row, row your physical boat, this life is but a dream.

This ain't reality, friends. We all wake up to reality eventually. Usually after about 80 years of this hilarious, terrible dream.

I’m asking these questions outside the context of the bible. If I wanted scriptural answers, I would read scripture. I’m asking in the hopes that some will answer without referencing scripture.

Yes, you asked why God created non-Christians.

I thought that portion of Romans 9 addressed that question pretty well.

Nice, but if ya can’t or don’t want to answer, at least say so.

I did answer the question. You just chose not to accept the answer. Of course, God knew you wouldn’t.

God created man and woman on Earth. Satan was cast to the Earth. Do you need more?

As a non-blical person, could you just explain in simple lay terms what it meant with relation to why God created non-Christians and how He expects the bible to influence those that He knows don’t give it credence.

Then if God know someone will do something, is it possible for them to not do it? Could you make it a simple yes or no?

Yeah, why did God create satan, only to throw him to the earth? Especially whe He knew what was going to be the result.

???? Satan was an angel of God. The powers there are unknown. Obviously big enough for us to be discussing it now.

Which pretty much means that whatever we believe, may or may not be true, so it don’t really matter, ‘cause God already knows what’s going to happen.

If that doesn’t sound pre-destined, what dos?

A MORE EXCELLENT WAY . . . now with DVD documents root sources of a long list of cancers and other deadly diseases.

The website is

http://www.beinhealth.com

However, you are asking about CREATOR . . .

basically . . . doing things contrary to the manual on human beings . . . results in very broken human beings.

Let’s say you’re CEO of a company.

You take great pains to issue a policy manual, vision statement etc.

And every time you wander about, you find supervisors, managers, foreman doing more or less the opposite of your policy manual and SOP’s.

How would you feel? What would you do with such sabotaging of your company’s functioning?

Right, God knew what satan was going to do before He created him...yet He still created him...essentially condoning everything that He knew satan was going to do. What’s up with that?
