I have to smile, in TV shows they work....also CSI had one about a bullet made from frozen beef...couldn’t figure out how beef got in a bullet wound.....so it may work or may not if one can believe tv fiction....would like to see it in an experiment..maybe myth busters.....

Lot's of things work on television that simply are not true, or even possible, in reality. The fantasy aspect is the main draw for viewers.
