In and apparent attempt to reassure the American people that the government is helping the right people Democrat Paul Kanjorski made this statement:
You see its perfectly acceptable that we give government hand outs to people so long as they are average, good American people and not those danged defectives. Oh, and these defectives apparently include minorities. Wow.
Lets look at the last part of what Rep Kanjorski said again (h/t Washington Times):
Were giving relief to people that I deal with in my office every day now unfortunately. But because of the longevity of this recession, these are people and theyre not minorities and theyre not defective and theyre not all the things youd like to insinuate that these programs are about these are average, good American people

WOW. I can’t think of a comparable statement made by a Republican. DEFECTIVE? Oh but don’t say “macaca”, you’ll get thrown out on your rear.
The only defectives in this country are the self-identified ones. Many of them currently work for the government or are running for elected office. You can tell just by looking for the (D) after their names.
I like that... (D) stands for defective. Great campaign ad idea.
This congressperson “sees” people every day in his office. Perhaps that is why he didn’t show up at the Lehighton 9-12 Project debate. Too tired from from a long day of handing out grants to adverage Americans.
All this time I thought he was affraid of either the teabaggers or Lou or a combination of the two.
With that being said, if he were a Republican especially a conservative he'd be given no benefit of the doubt. The Jacksons and Sharptons would be all over, not to mention our glorious Kenyan leader would be saying he "spoke stupidly". This is more about the insane hypocrisy of progressives, not Paul Kanjorski's beliefs.
