Geithner Says U.S. Economy No Longer World Leader
ECR ^ | 25 Jun 10 | EC

I guess we really shouldn't be surprised. After all, this is what Obama and his team of globalists wanted, wasn't it? It's pretty much what he promised his hate-America base. If anyone was listening, they would have heard it.

US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has told the BBC that the world "cannot depend as much on the US as it did in the past".

He said that other major economies would have to grow more for the global economy to prosper.

He also played down any differences in policy between the US and Europe regarding deficit reduction.

Mr Geithner was speaking in Washington ahead of G8 and G20 meetings this weekend in Toronto.

He said all members of the group were "focused on the challenge of [building] growth and confidence", and would be working to this end at the meetings.

Just a well-known announcement to keep the anti-American Soros mob happy. Afterall, they must be kept informed that their HUGE investment in Obama is netting them their goal.

Well, and yet these idiots think that the Chinese and Russians will welcome them to the tables of power with open arms.

If you vote in some people that want to damage the U.S. then they have the power to do so. This regime is systematically destroying our fossil fuel access. Guess what...I am in Maine and I need oil to survive.

Mission accomplished.

We just need a little garbage collection, then things will be fine.

Carter was the same kind of stooge ... Although it’s looking like Obama will do him one better. Carter was fond of saying the world would be all out of oil by the year 2000. That’s why he had this giant synfuels boondoggle that went bust. And the Savings and Loan debacle ... and and and ... and finally he just settled on watching the Iranian Hostage crisis on TV, until a real man got elected. Then va va va voom ...

Just think what America could do with $30 a barrel oil that you can refine from coal.

Uh, yeah, Mike.

Cut three of the horse’s legs off and flog him with a bat every day and he’s likely not going to compete on the track.

We keep using the word smart to describe these people. Other words come to mind.

I can see why it isn't treason.

I can't see why Geithner and Paulson and Bush and Obama and McCain and Frank and Dodd and everyong else that put us here haven't been groin kicked until their oysters flew from their mouths and fell like rain...oh, wait...for Barney Frank that would be impossible.

Though it was 60/bbl about two years ago. Still, it would break the middle east cartel, put Americans to work, and reinvigorate our economy by saving everyone that uses oil money. As economies of scale kick in it would be even cheaper. Oil from coal is a great way to go. As is more drilling.

"US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has told the BBC that the world "cannot depend as much on the US as it did in the past".

If that doesn't take the prize for understatement.

The world can't count on the United States for anything good as long as the Keystone Cops are in charge.
