If you like westerns,, here is one I have never seen,,, I'm 50 yrs old.
What is the name of the western?
Lawman
With Robert Duvall!
Best Western Ever - Hombre
The Searchers.

It is a very good movie but Chato’s Land with Charles Bronson is better. Check it out.
That was a good show. John Russell was, I think, the cop.
He played a bad guy in one the Clint Eastwood efforts if I recall, Pale Rider, I think.
He also played Bloddy Bill Anderson in another Eastwood movie, The Outlaw Josie Wales, which I always thought to be one of the great westerns of my life. I'm 59.
It is a great western. Richard Boone stole the movie and Dianne Cilento was so hot with her whiskey voice.
ya,, but its not available for free online!!!!
A truly good show. This was made back before John Wayne could only play John Wayne. He spent about three hours tracking for the purpose of killing Natalie Wood. Then when he finally finds her and picks her up to carry her home...that was one of the great scenes of his career.
ya,, but it ain't a western! pilgrim!
IIRC the searchers is part of a trilogy.
Wah hah.
Watching the 50 th anniversary presentation of the magnificent seven on amc right now but ill check it out later
Thanks!!!found it on netflix.... enjoy Lawman,, it is good...
Staring Marshall Thompson?
Is that Jim’s ugly brother?
You mean Big Jim Thompson?
Hulu is free? you just go there and get movies for no charge, no sign up fee, no monthly fees?
Y’all oughta try “The Wonderful Country” from the book by Tom Lea and starring Robert Mitchum and Julie London. Mitchum is a American orphan raised in Mexico as a ‘pistolero’ in service to two crooked Mexican brothers.
It was one of the first ‘realistic’ Westerns in my opinion. Notable is the sound effects where gunshots actually sound like gunshots.
The John Wayne/John Ford cavalry trilogy consisted of “Fort Apache”, “She Wore A Yellow Ribbon”, and “Red River”.

WRONG! The third in the Trilogy is “Rio Grand.”
THE Jim Thompson
sit through their very short commericals,, yep, its free.. if the movie is R rated,,this one is not,, you have to register to see it.
The Searchers is my co-favorite with Shane.
Best Lines:
Just prior to the shootout with Jack Palance: “You’re a low-down yankee liar.”
As Shane leaves, Joey yells out, “And mother wants you! I know she does!”
heh
Bump
Thank you. My trivia machine is becoming trivial.
I tried watching some old tv series on Hulu, but it seemed that the commercial breaks were extremely loud. Did anyone else have that problem?
Well, it wasn't The Thing, From Another World, but it was better than not bad.
Many sites now have old TV programs and movies available to watch online for free. They may incorporate short commercials, but usually have much fewer commercials than a regular TV broadcast.
http://www.fancast.com [this one is sponsored by Comcast]
http://www.youtube.com/videos [see Shows or Movies lists]
http://www.tvguide.com [check their ‘dvr’ selection]
http://www.thewb.com/shows/ [Hadn’t checked their site in a while. They have really expanded their list of available titles.]
Many of the above link to the same video, but they also have their own unique titles.
Also
http://www.archive.org/index.php [Has many public domain movies and old TV programs, also music]
Yep, that’s about it. You can also watch some series also. Fancast.com is another site that allows you to watch movies and series for free. You do have to sit through some ads however, but that is a small price to pay:)
Ft Apache.
