He will not be happy until there is blood in the streets.
She is a LIAR. LIAR!
I cleaned mine.
I’m SHOCKED i tell ya SHOCKED!!
1000 rounds per weapon is the lowest recommended amount to have on hand at any given moment.
And no one believes she will change her tune once on the court.
The challenge with “the proper amount” is/are mobility and accessibility. oh ... and cost.
If you intend to defend your sanctuary, in situ, then all that mass and volume (of ammo) is fine, and you can easily secure it.
If you intend to bug out, then ya gotta plan for secure mobile space and its weight.
Just sayin’
Although 20 boxes of .45 ACP doesn’t take up much space and isn’t TOO bad of a hit on the wallet. But .223 (and up) can get painful.
This is an admirable trait in an activist, an ideologue, a crusader for a cause!
This is a damnable trait in a Judge.
A Judge is bound by the law, now what they really really really want the law to be; but the law as it IS.
Sen. Orrin Hatch (Utah), the second-ranking Republican on the committee who has at times served as its chairman, downplayed the likelihood of Republicans looking to block Kagan’s nomination as the Judiciary panel begins hearings on her this morning.
“After all, there’s 59 Democrats, and I suspect there’ll be a few Republicans who will vote for her regardless.”
All you really need is enough to “liberate” a weapon from your oppressor. In WWII the allies dropped single shot, stamped steel pistols, with two bullets and picture instructions, to the French for just that purpose.
I wonder what the other Supremes [including Ginsburg] think of the possibility of Kagan being on the Court with them ...
They all have fine resumes and a body of work that shows they are qualified to be there ...
Kagan has nothing - except her work as the Solicitor General, where she has embarassed herself several times in front of the Court - not knowing the facts or positing ridiculous postions that the Court is able to shoot down without much effort ...
But .223 (and up) can get painful.I just got 500 rounds of loose .223, and was saddened by how little it was. I could fit 1000 rounds in a standard ammo can, easily. Not that super narrow can, but the one a little wider. I think it is called a .50 cal can.
All you really need is enough to liberate a weapon from your oppressor. In WWII the allies dropped single shot, stamped steel pistols, with two bullets and picture instructions, to the French for just that purpose.Although I devolve into fantasy every once in a while, I am not expecting firearms, no matter how shoddy, to fall from the sky. My goal is to defend my home, property, and loved ones in situ from those who would cause harm, not to kill people and hope their weapon suit my needs. The concern is that once the SHTF, Ready access to ammo will dry up very quickly, thus the "minimum 1000 rounds" rule.
“A Judge is bound by the law, not what they really really really want the law to be; but the law as it IS.”
How old fashioned of you...
Actually, the law is whatever the jury says it is, though judges will throw you off the case if you were to be silly enough to say that during jury selection.
"Take my wife.. please!" Henny Youngman
"The other day I went to a massage parlor.. the girls told me it was self-service." Rodney Dangerfield
"My political and social views will not influence my decisions." Elena Kagan
The hearing is a sham. She has been coached to say whatever it takes to get nominated!
